I'll be honest. I'm not sure how many here believe in ghosts/spirits. I don't believe in and religion(mythology), paranormal being/entity, or mystical creatures. I honestly think if a god existed that it'd speak for itself, if ghost existed we'd have proof other than fables or cassette tapes that are questionable, and if Bigfoot existed we would have caged it.

I've noticed a few weird things in my time, nothing I could account to a "spirit" or "other-worldly" creature.

It seems more like an explanation for events that take place with little understanding.

Heck, people at one point in time believed Gods were angry when storms came .. or happy. This all depended on the situation.

That's a great way of putting it revolve.

Although, OP: there is no forum for paranormal, and the move to get one has no momentum so I see no problem with it being discussed here.

Bullshit, is not an incorrect way of phrasing it. For it to be considered truth there has to be irrefutable evidence. Phenomenon that are not explained are not evidence of a ghosts existence. It's simply an unexplained occurrence.

If you're going to propose the existence of something, you then, must follow the scientific method to prove its existence. Otherwise, it's just a explanation you made up to fit the situation.

'Seeing is believing'
How is this a logical argument?

I don't need to even try to disprove it. The burden of proof falls on the believer.

I am a skeptical believer. I do believe, but most of the things people post such as pictures and evps are not real. They are just fishing for whatever.

I saw someone bring up ”scientific method”. Exactly, but the fact is there is not enough evidence for hosts to be a proven as a fact, yet there are a consistent amount of occurrences that suggest that there may be a perfectly logical reasonable explanation for ”ghosts” that we have not found yet. I may be an atheist who dismisses all possibilities of a higher being, but followers of science should know that science is ever growing, and we learn new things every day. Things we thought to be true are disproved when stronger evidence is found, and as history tells, all scientific theories were at one time thought to be preposterous conspiracies from old fools or black magic.

I don't really know about this personally, I've experienced a few things in my life that would make me want to believe in ghosts or the supernatural, but I've also shot holes through things that have made countless others believe.

I won't be closed minded to the possibility, but I'm not going to shit myself and argue like a loon over it.

I belong to WSPIR (Washington State Paranormal Investigative Research). We are Ghost Hunters. There are a number of places here in Washington that are haunted. One old hotel is very haunted. Each time we do an investigation there many of our investigators have an experience. I have has a couple of experiences there that I can't explain. I have heard voices in empty rooms. I have been touched by a spirit. So those who think ghosts don't exist need to get a grip on reality.

We did an investigation on an old abandoned bakery. The building manager told us that he had heard a voice in the empty building. We set up our equipment and we were in the building about 7 hours...at night with the lights off. None of us heard any voice, but our recorders did. It was a female voice saying "help me". We took that to the building manager. He told us that back when it was a working bakery a man came in at night and stabbed his girlfriend to death. We think the voice was the spirit of the woman calling for help. The man who did the stabbing was caught, tried and found guilty and given a life sentence in prison.
