I am losing an unnatural amount of hair..I am attributing this to a new medication..
Amitryptilline....will go to doctor to see..
Does anyone else have a reaction to medications ???

Hi Rose.......I've always had healthy hair but thin and fine from childhood up until I started having surgeries...last Oct. I had surgery and when I came home and started washing my hair I was panicked at the amount of hair I was losing! Called my beautician and she has helped me tremendously since that time as I've had another surgery and another hospital stay since then...I understand that anaesthesia, anti-biotics and other meds can cause hair loss so have had mine cut short in a kind of spiked pixy and when I wash my hair use a very mild shampoo and a good conditioner.....so far so good but I keep it trimmed & visit my beautician about every two weeks.....better safe than sorry.

Also earlier in the year of 2006, my BP was escalated. the dr prescribed two different meds...and my hair fell out....I got off that, right away..my beautician had a cat fit, and told me to get to the Doctor...I came in his office carrying a plastic sandwich bag full of hair..and I told him, I wanted off that medicine...and my hair did come back in but now it is happening again....ohhh well...bald is beautiful, so they say.....

Just get a crew cut Rose & be comfortable in the heat, don't worry you'll look neat.P.S. A tip... fancy big earings do distract eyes from hair dos...

Good morning!....IMO, some men are very handsome and sexy bald....Yul Brynner, Telly Savalas, etc....I would not hesitate to date a man because he was bald..
