Yeah gotta few for you.
1. Minimize the pressure you put on yourself it's your first fight so obviously you'll be nervous but approach the fight almost as if it's another day in the gym sparring.
2. Make sure you come prepared with whatever you need , food water all your gear, iPod make a list if you have to and check it off before you leave the last thing you want is to forget something important when you're already on the edge.
3.Don't judge a book by its cover, it doesn't matter if the dude looks jacked or like he's never been in a gym before, you never know how tough he'll be so never under or over estimate your opponent.
4. Finally try to relax and have fun, if you're serious about fighting then you put a ton of work in in the gym and it all pays off in the cage, win or lose all you have after is more training and eventually another grueling training camp so enjoy what you've worked for.

can you get any footage of the guy? any kind of background on him? can't really say without knowing your style or his. t'sun sue would say know your enemy better than you know yourself. dig around. see what you can find out about him. know yourself and stay with in your capabilities. "i do not strike, it strikes all by itself."-bruce lee. what he was trying to say is let your second nature take over. instinct is an excellent weapon.

if you know nothing about the guy check guy's stance. if low and wide base than your looking at a guy who is more comfortable grappling or straight up wrestling. check his foot placement, see what hand he is comfortable with. adjust your stance accordingly. keep your lead foot outside his and circle and turn in that direction.
if he stands straight up then stay low. when you get close enough to grab him. under hook(ignore single or double) and use inside foot sweep for take down. if he has done homework on you ad knows your a wrestler, he will be waiting for the shot for single or double. its a good way to get your teeth knocked out with a knee. nail the other take down first to take his attention off your shot. you get him down keep your elbows off the mat. elbow on the mat is prime for oma-plata. pace your self in ground and pound . try not to blow your wad to fast. lightly peper him at first and then periodicly unload heavy shot. one of those lands then open up full. don't lose your self though. save a little bit of juice just in case.
good luck.
