I knew I need to lose weight for my health. I have started to eat healthier foods and smaller portions but in order to lose weight properly I need to exercise. I just can't seem to find my motivation. Does anyone else have this problem?

I think everyone does at some point. Whenever you're unmotivated, just remember your goal and ask yourself - how badly do I want it? If you want it badly enough, you'll workout.

The problem with most people (me included) is finding the time...I'm in pretty,good shape but've gotten that 40…something year old gut..once I finally got tired of looking at it..I decided to plan a date with myself..with just me,the treadmill weights and the mirror....keep u posted....

Hey there sweetie, it's easier said than done. I'm been struggling for a while now, i'm down 50lbs but i'm stuck in a rut right now, can't seem to get myself Motivated.. HELP!

Motivation is the problem? If so, then you don't want to continue losing weight badly enough. Not much can be done about that. You can get outside support systems, but those can fail too. It has to come from you. When someone wants something badly enough, they do what they have to do.

Keeping your eye on the prize, so to speak. Frequently remembering your goal. How about a pic of the answer of why you want to lose weight, then set as your cell phone wallpaper so that you always see it. I read here where someone bought some jeans of the size she wanted to get down to, and hung them in her room.

I have lost 50 pounds in one year from walking and eliminating certain foods that slow down my digestive tract. Anyone interested in learning this, I will teach you for nothing In the first week you will notice. Not some dvd bs you find on tv, no gym membership, just the simple adjustment to diet, throw in a walk in the park! I was 260 in oct 2012, now im 220 going to 155. The first ten pounds I lost was walking and eating the same food, once I modified my diet, things got easie
The coolest thing, I can now buy clothes off the rack without having them tailored to fit!
Once I get down to 200, I will start to jog and train to Box again and im 51!

Everyone has experienced this. Don't wait to get motivate to go exercise because it's never going to happen. Go out exercise and your improvements and just doing it consistently motivates you. I have ran track/Xc for 10 years. I was never too motivated until I started working out and preparing for the season. Then realized I could do it and I became excited and motivated. True courage is when you workout anyway long after the feel of motivation has gone. When I use to come home from work at 10pm in the middle of winter break, I'd ask my dad should I workout? He'd say, "Go run you'll feel better".

Maybe find a friend or family member who wants to exercise as well. That way you have someone else to keep you on track as well as some "girl time" to look forward to during the week.

Mentally you have to be ready...there's no set way..but you know yourself if not get to know yourself.. Talk to yourself and check yourself when you know you're not doing what you need to. Create divided between the "I" you are and the Ego ..which is your thought process... Get over yourself! Do not start to create crouches that can easily fail you... Remember can't no one lose weight, excersise for you and no one can make you do something you're not ready to do .you have to WANT it not desire..there's a difference.. Want has an implicit action behind it..desire goes as far thought... Lastly gotta train ya brain...get over yourself and make shyt happen and keep making it happen until your brain craves it (it will) remember you're going from not doing shyt (and your brain got lazy too) so exercise that first....love yourself..and remind yourself you need this..and WANT this..good luck and always know "Giving up is giving too much"

I would say post an image of your favorite body type/shape or an article of clothing on your mirrors/fridge so you have constant reminders throughout the day )

The biggest thing at the beginning is just getting out and doing it the first few times just make time like early in the morning to get it out the way once you've started though and start seeing results that should motivate you more than anything else

I like to take walks. When i had a car i would go out to various parks to walk. Now I do not have a car its hard to be motivated for I live in the city.

I got my motivation to lose weight when recently being diagnosed Type II diabetic. No history in my family, I realize it was because of my terrible eating habits for most of my life. Now, I'm very careful about what I eat, have started walking, and doing light workouts. Sometimes we need a wake up call to get moving. I got mine...

Yeah I need to lose some weight too I try to go to the gym 3 to 4 times a week sometimes I really have to push myself but when I get there I'm ready to do the job eating is my biggest problem I can't seem to stay away from chips lol
