I placed a profile on here with very good and honest intentions. I know Im not perfect, but I actually think I am pretty decent guy. I made it clear on my profile that I would like to make and have some nice new friends, because I understand the importance of having good friendhships with people first. Sadly... noone in this place wants to be a friend... It seems that noone in this entire place will even talk to me..... I really don't understand this, but ok whatever. I sure hope some of you people have better luck than me.

Yes, I know the feeling, I put my best foot out there and not one single individual pickled up my foot and swallowed it. I can't believe it and they say these sites will get you what you seek. I even post photos of my kids too. I thought that would work even better. I had all my hopes on this.

I totally agree with you. I originally posted a profile requesting friends only. All of the responses I received told me that I was I liar that I wanted more than a friend. This is not the place to post thinking you are going to meet a sane person. I wish you the best of luck. I changed my profile.

I'm surprised to see so much negativity. I tried plenty of fish and black people meet and another unmentionable site and had a lot of ignorant cheap guys try to holla. Here on DH I've chatted wit a few guys who will probably be a good catch one day for someone just not me. I'm currently conversing with one on the phone and I think it may blossom into something blessed. Only time will tell if not I'm sure we will at least be great friends.

If it hasn't yet been said I will venture to say it here. It's not the website. DateHookup is not to be considered a 'store' of sorts where one would browse and choose what he or she desires from a retail shelf. Many folks who do use this site are real, living people whom simply are set in what they are seeking when they sign up and create their profile here.
It just takes patience, time and a bit of social skills in order for one to have some form of success when participating in a dating site such as DateHookup and it begins with how one's profile is written and what one has in-mind when they search for a mate on a dating site.
I'm happy to say that I have found a wonderful soulmate who shares many common interests with me and I with her, though words cannot describe the natural attraction my new soulmate and I had for each other when she and I met for the first time.
I'm 53 and as many of us on dating sites like this one, we don't have much time for games nor drama at all so although I do share in and understand the frustrations involved with Online dating, I just want to say that some patience and good decision making go a long way in achieving your success in Online dating and in your quest to find your soulmate.

ive been on here and made a few friends. only had to drop one for indicating she didnt know how to or was too lazy to fix a type of problem involving several jealousy issues including exes and forgetting to mention on her profile or not wanting to till later she was in a relationship with someone jealous of her being on here. so i dropped her.

The second day I got on this site I started talking to a guy. I've met him and we've been talking for almost a year. We were friends then it turned into more. I told him I still have my account and chat with guys but haven't met any and he showed me he deleted his account. He's a GREAT MAN and this will be my last time on this.
