Don't get me wrong, he is one of my all time favorite fighters. That fight with Wandy was so fun to watch.
He came on the scene as the next Brazilian after Royce. Huge act to follow and he did so well.
I always pull for Vitor.
i agree... we all watched him grow up on the fight scene... over all probably one of the most popular fighters around... i like the tank abbot fight myself... made that big boy know who the boss was...lol

Actually, now that I think about it, it was Marco Ruas that followed Royce first. I remember watching them interview him at UFC 6 saying he would be there for UFC 7 and getting very excited. He did pretty good till he ran in to the Russian Bear, another favorite of mine.
marco was pretty good too... i think my favorites of his were the paul varlenes fight and his show down with maurice smith... oh yes... oleg taktarov... another awesome fighter... his fight with tank was pretty good one too...

yeah maybe he will, however he will not beat Anderson Silva period. Not now, not ever. Vitor is a good guy and damn tough too. I am worried that steriods have taken over and it is only a matter of time before he will be caught. Look at him, he is way to cut up for 185. I know he won the 205 years ago, but that was in his youth. I as well loved the head kick to his opponent, but don't Anderson Silva will not make adjustments. He is to MMA what Peyton Manning was to the NFL as still one of the highest paid quaterbacks of all time.
If Vitor gets a chance again to fight Silva it will only end badly for him.

what is TRT? is it a steroid... u talk like it's a steroid... do some home work on this shit before u comment, other wise u just sound stupid... all TRT does is increase a mans libido, it has nothing to do with muscle enhancement which is what steroids do... to tell the truth a guy like him doesn't need that the way some who came up short would(sonnen)... or maybe even you... gotta be a reason why u are so bitter on him... or maybe u tried all that stuff and still came up short...

It actually is a steroid since testosterone is a natural steroid the body makes

And it's suppose to bring it back to normal levels but vitor is obviously above that seeing as how he's stated at 36 he's stronger and tha he's ever been the guy started fighting at 18 how's that possible and him being caught for high test levels in Vegas makes you wonder if he's abusing the trt or not which it seems like he is look at his physique now and his fights when he was younger

fair enough but the arguement is still a debate since trt only induces the body to produce what it already capable of... and is not the case with anabolics which is a direct suppliment... on a more personal level from my own experience with my day job... i notice that in many cases the younger guys on my crew have a harder time with endurance and pound fer pound brute strength.... another co-worker who is my senior in age remarked that it is what you would call "old man muscle"... i personally do not train in the arts like i did when i was younger but notice that during the occasional rough housing that we get into... they are soft and weaker than the guys my own age or older... u may noticed the same in ur own training or experience... so until they prove the theory of him using trt beyond contestation and he admits it... i will chose to give him the benifit of the doubt...

if you wish to say a name than u may as well say them all... to say belfort... u may as well include the entire U.F.C. roster... i do like coffee though... there will always be some sort of way that professional atheletes are trying to gain an edge... you know that... so why even waste time to single one out... count them all in until proven otherwise, sit back and enjoy the show... it's only entertainment... you want to debate? try the political forum... this was a question of whether or not vitor could win another title... not a debate about performance enhancement...

I think Vitor has a very real chance of taking the middle weight title Chris. As for silva, his attributes counter Vitors very well. Vitor is all about explosiveness, speed and overwhelming his opponents. Silva is just too light on his feet and extremely talented at recognizing an attack forming. So it would seem he his a step ahead. But, vitor is reborn and I'm excited to see what he does next.
