I tried Nutri System and not worth the money. Some of the food is good.
It's over priced. Better to plan meals and go grocery shopping and cheaper.

A lower calorie program will work for a while, then the body adapts to lower calories, and weight loss plateaus.

Resistance training is necessary for a diet to work long-term.

This plan works for me. I live a crazy work schedule. Working sometimes 12 hours without a real lunch break. So if my option's are fast food or nutrisystem, this is better. I know I am at least eating healthy, it's fast, easy, and not too expensive. Throw in home delivery, well that's an added benefit.

I also tried this year's ago and the food is much better than it was. The frozen is actually Schwan's (spelling) If you eat the plan it's 800-1000 calories a day before you throw in fruit's and vegetables.

Also, there is something in it that you are satisfied after eating, no trigger's to keep eating.

I actually know how you feel, I wanted to do a gluten diet idea like that, but do you think it's worth it?

I originally signed up for the $299 every 28 day's. It's 18 day's of breakfast, lunch, dinner's and snack's AND 10 day's of frozen breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. After the first two auto ships you can delay your order's. I have delayed many times. No extra charges or problems doing so. You can also change the food every month or even a different plan.
I go out of town for day's at a time and I take my meals (on the go shelf). If what they eat isn't worth the calories to me I will eat my pkg meals.

Like any thing, it's not an overnite thing.

BTW, I am 59 and have no medical problems or take any med's at all. So eating right is essential to me at this age. I know too many people that don't take care of themselves and are sick a lot.

I tried this also. I live alone and sometimes just buying onions or peppers is a waste of money. I don't use it all at once and throw too much out. Spices are too expensive also.

Even a head or lettuce looses it's flavor before I can use it up, eating salad almost every day.

I do love to cook, so I save that for cooking things I can't eat and give it away.

And if what ever you do gives you that hateful attitude towards other's I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Good Luck to you.

And I didn't ask for your advice to begin with.

I just looked at your pro, and honestly you ain't all that. Not only are you "thick", your partially illiterate, and outright rude. I wouldn't condescend a lady who, at the age of sixty, needs no medication and is otherwise in good health. May you live in interesting times. Buhbye now.

Let me put this out there for ya gym. At 50 years old I was running full marathons and bicycling (not spinning) 20-25 miles a day. Lifted light weights to avoid looking butch. And yes, oh wise one, I ate all clean. No sugar, low carbs. Unfortunately life can throw you a wicked turn. Since I am now unable to walk I don't guess I'll be "hitting the stairs".
But thanks for proving how likable you are by putting your foot in you mouth.

Sandra.

She's not worth it....when she is having all those knees and shoulder's replaced she will think back...

"Now I wish I had listened to that old hag on DH"

I got hurt early (high school) and was told to slow down, I had to. Crutches for six months. I am kinda glad it happened to me then. No replacement's as of yet

All is good...

If you really want to make the commitment you can, WITHOUT paying for over-price, reconstituted or frozen meals. You know what portions are. You know what calories and fat are. Control both and you can accomplish the same thing on your own. Use measuring scoops to measure out your food. Read labels. Empty your house of all the foods and snacks that do not fit into a healthy-eating lifestyle.

You don't really need any extra money to get on a "diet". Just cut back on what you eat/calories. Not sure how much you weigh, but anyone that is very heavy doesn't really have to even workout to lose weight, just reduce the intake of calories and you'll see a change. Of course, the best route is that you participate in some sort of exercise. Preferably a cardio and strength training regimen, but something as simple as A short 30 minute walk is very beneficial.

220 to 160lbs in less than four months on apples and a bicycle; I did gain 20 back at the gym but it is muscle not fat. Not sure on the science of it but was told that the digestion of them burns almost as much as you are taking in if you eat the not real sweet ones. Ate other food also, took vitamins and minerals and never counted calories but filled on the apples and cut out sugar.

OT: Tried Nutri System one summer in Alaska only because someone gave me several big boxes of it-was great camping food but had to eat two or three meals at a time to maintain my activity level
