I've been on and off here since Sept. 2007 and prior to nearly 5 mos. ago (it'll be 5 mos. on Oct. 10), I had NEVER had ANY luck with dating, but especially online dating.
First off, I was still "in limbo" regarding my current ex, and we were still "just friends" at about a month or so's time (since he had broken up with me), and I was only on here for friends and the forums (as always).
(I had been with my ex for 2 yrs., sans a combined 7 mos. apart -- where he broke up with me)
I stumbled upon my love's profile and he had listed his body type as "above average" and I emailed him saying that "above average" did NOT fit him, as he was (is) far from having that body type. He has A LITTLE excess wt. on him, but heck, so do *I*. (LOL)
So we began emailing on here a little bit...friendly chit chat/banter, and about two mos. later, I asked a good friend of mine from here to email him my number because at the time, I couldn't contact anyone who wasn't a friend as i was a newbie (for the UMPTEENTH time).
That was on a Friday, and the first text I got from him (while working) said "Hey. I hope this is (my first name). This is (his first name)". I LOLed in my text, said it was indeed me, and we began texting from there. We spoke later that same evening after I had gotten off work.
One of the emails he had sent me on here said that three things would occur/that he'd change my mind about and they were:
* I'd agree that the first time we met, it'd be a date
* He'd get a kiss by the end of that night
* I'd change my mind about not wanting a relationship with someone
LMAO. He was sooo RIGHT!
We're VERY much in love, and he truly IS THE BEST!
I still am in awe at times at JUST HOW happy he makes me.
I'm moving in by the end of the year, and I met his mom/14 y/o son/two nieces/sister all in the first week we met.
He truly is THE ONE (for me).
I canNOT wait to marry him and if we're able to, to have a family with him.
I NEVER EVER thought I'd have MY success story occur via here but...obviously..I have/did.

I had horrible luck until I met my better half on here we just got married on Sunday, you just have to sort through the toads to find the prince is all!! Congrats!!!!! I love to hear about success stories rather than the normal bs that is posted!!
