When we make love!
Part I
Old Loak © 2008
As I rush home from work I notice that you were not around,
Until I open the bathroom door to see the shower water falling down,
Steam and moisture fills the air as I stared thru the shower glass,
Thoughts of pleasure fill my mind as I thinking of tapping that ass,
Watching the water run off your body as you hummed my favorite song,
All I can think about is making love to you, all night long,
I slid off my slacks, careful not to make a noise,
As the steam from the shower ascend to the ceiling, your body remained poise,
As I eased out of my shirt, I took one last peek,
While your humming The Isley Brothers, “In between the sheets,
I gently open the shower door and you don’t realize I’m there,
Examining your body as the hot water roll off your hair,
I place my masculine hands on the small of you back,
I’m feeling like Chris Brown because I want you to give me that,
As you turn to face me a smile enlighten your face,
I fail to my knees desiring your sweet taste,
Your body was so open, like the blue sky above,
You are going to have to wait until part II of, when we make love.

God will provide!
By Old Loak © 2014
Based off of Genesis 22:1-14;
As I began to enjoy the gift of my son in my old age,
God spoke to me a commandment, that should have sent my heart in a rage,
To take my beloved son and sacrifice him on an altar before God,
Thinking to myself, The Lord request was very hard,
Nevertheless, I took my beloved son to Mount Moriah, the place He had ordain,
My heart was troubled, why would The Lord allow me to endure this pain,
For it took me 100 years to receive the promise of a son,
In one act, all of this could be over and done,
As we arrived at Mount Moriah, I beckon my servants to stay,
For me and the lad would go over yonder, to worship and pray,
At the Altar, it seemed as though we were in a jam,
For my son said to me, I see the knife and the wood, but father where is the lamb,
Fighting back tears, because I didn’t want to cry,
I turn to my son and said, God will provide!

All of the above here. I can make people laugh, move them to tears, inspire them, and drive them screaming from the room all with the same single poem. I have done so a few times, but decided to focus on one style at a time, instead of blending them together. Better outcomes.

One of my favorites. A friend sent me this one during one of the dark moments in my life. Years later it is still touches me deeply and makes me appreciate this life.
"Silent Friend of many distances, feel," Rainer Maria Rilke
Silent friend of many distances, feel
how your breath enlarges all of space.
Let your presence ring out like a bell
into the night. What feeds upon your face
grows mighty from the nourishment thus offered.
Move through transformation, out and in.
What is the deepest loss that you have suffered?
If drinking is bitter, change yourself to wine.
In this immeasurable darkness, be the power
that rounds your senses in their magic ring,
the sense of their mysterious encounter.
And if the earthly no longer knows your name,
whisper to the silent earth: I’m flowing.
To the flashing water say: I am.

Long Felt Desires
By Annie Finch
--------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------
Translation by Louise Labé
Long-felt desires, hopes as long as vain—
sad sighs—slow tears accustomed to run sad
into as many rivers as two eyes can add,
pouring like fountains, endless as the rain—
cruelty beyond humanity, a pain
so hard it makes compassionate stars go mad
with pity: these are the first passions I’ve had.
Do you think love could root in my soul again?
If it arched the great bow back again at me,
licked me again with fire, and stabbed me deep
with the violent worst, as awful as before,
the wounds that cut me everywhere would keep
me shielded, so there would be no place free
for love. It covers me. It will pierce no more.

I can't believe I'm still alone, the emptiness seeps through my bones and every day that you are gone i can't help, but wonder what went wrong and with all the stars in the skies such mystery and wonder has left your eyes while all along those those words you spoke were only spaces to fill the your hallows you call hope.

Within her eyes does my heart find peace. For if only the oceans could Carrie as much warmth, then to would The World feel how she moves me. Those aqua green angel eyes.
