I gave up reading The Wheel of Time after something like the 11th book when I realized that Jorden had no ending for the story. I understand that The Wheel represented time as never ending, but come on. Each age has an end, yet the books didn't.

If you want a good author check out Tad Williams' Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn trilogy. In a single trilogy he was able to build a whole complex and history for his world. All without the rambling and intense overstatement that Jordan used.

Don't get me wrong, I really liked the idea and concept of Jordan's world and cultures. I just thought that he took way to long describing minor details that had little to no impact on the story in any major way.
