Tell them you have cancer and require a surgery in the coming month, so since Jehovah's Witnesses cannot get any invasive surgeries, tell them their faith would really f**k up your whole "live a bit more and enjoy my life and family" plan.
Then, when they tell you you should have faith in God's plan, tell them to get f**ked.

Instead of making up lame a** excuses, just be upfront about it tell them you're not interested and walk away. Plain and simple, they're not going to attack you if you say no thank you I'm not interested in learning your religion.

I think I am on their "do not knock" list now. I invited them in once before and they were out of there within 10 minutes. Politely come at them with facts from their bible and not faith and they will not know how to handle you. Down fall is you need to know exactly what is in the bible to counter what they are trying to preach. I make it a hobby to study religions. Think of it as learning about drugs and their effect. How can you tell your children the dangers of them if you know nothing about them. Same thing with religions apply.

Well you don't have to answer the door. I don't mind talking to them. Sometimes I tell them I'm an atheist to which they usually don't seem that much surprised. Sometimes I don't say much and just take their literature.

so i sit downtown every day for 20 minutes waiting for my bus to work and it seems like a few times a week the jehovas will drive up and try and give me their reading shit. i don't want it! how can i get them to leave me alone?
should i tell them i'm atheist or will that cause more problems?
There is a way. I forgot what my mother called it tho. When she was younger she was raised as a jw. Now if she just tells them she is shunned(not the right word but same meaning) jws are not allowed to talk to you.
