Thank you. I feel the same way about some parents as well. My daughter has been through enough as well. 4 years old and 2 illnesses. I'm not trying to add to her life or make it any harder then what we go through. Some parents don't think. But I guess it's what separates the parents from the good and the bad.

With all honesty I used to think it was because of being particular. But the older I get the more I realize the problem lies within myself. I just don't trust enough to totally give my heart completely
The right man is not going to easy to find simply because i protect my feelings so i DON'T get hurt. i've met good men that were not my type and the wrong men i'm attracted to for all the wrong reasons and don't love them... and the only person that truly loves me the way want to be loved is a married man in calif that will never be mine but is the entire package.

LOL... Received an email on another dating site from a man that wanted to know if a man not dancing was a deal breaker with me. My gut level reaction was to laugh. Maybe I need to revise my profile. I thought I had conveyed my love for dancing on my profile. However, I didn't not on my profile flat out say that a man not dancing was a deal breaker.
I just don't see the point of me pairing up with anyone that doesn't dance.

I am ready...but alone because I refuse to settle just to ease the pain of loneliness. I know what I want and none of the things I want are on the out side.
Although
I am a sucker for tall good looken Southern men with dark or salt and pepper hair, so sometimes I ignore red flags longer than I should until I bring myself back to my senses and pray on it. Normally when I involve God the way I should have been all along....if I thought on my own there were red flags he shows me the the red billboards. I know this is wrong but if I like someone and I see flags but they are those small little orange property markers I want to ignore them....but the orange ones aren't good either because they are really red I just want to pretend they are not!

I am very persnickety and particular when it comes to making a commitment in a relationship. I want the whole package and do not want to settle for less. I like to be treated like a lady and for a man to be chivalrous and doting. I like being fussed over and a lot of personal attention given to the relationship. I think it's a lot of things..
Major trust issues, for sure!
I rarely believe what men say.. but am honest in the fact that I don't! 
I think being single is okay.. I think each life stage we learn something new about ourselves.. if someone would have told me a year ago that in 12 months I'd be divorced (well waiting on the final signature of the judge) I would have laughed so hard and told them they were crazy as hell..
But being single has shown me how strong I really am..
Maybe I'll feel more jaded this time next year if I'm still single? but for now I'm just taking it one day at a time  .. being alone on Thanksgiving did suck though!
