Seriously, OP ~~ an alcoholic hangver is caused by dehydration from excessive alcoholic beverage intake.
This best remedy for an alcoholic hangover is replenish your hydration with lots of liquids. Equal parts of water & Gator-Ade are the best, health wise.

many people use tomato juice a V-8 even-I suggest stop drinking-it does stop the hang overs.

I believe OP was asking about how to alleviate a hangover once you already have it safeamerica. Anything with water in it will not hurt you and will in fact help you but with the dehydration level so high, it takes a fair amount of water to rehydrate the system. One V8 will not be sufficient

i try to avoid getting hangovers in the first place.
overindulgence in alcohol depletes the body of vitamin C, some B vitamins, and can also dehydrate. so what i usually do the day im going to drink is take B complex (bananas are also a good source of B vitamins) and vitamin C. make sure to drink plenty of water, and try to eat some carbs a few hours (at least 1) before you drink so you dont get wasted right away.
not saying this would work for everybody but its what I do when i drink and i NEVER get a hangover
a banana smoothie does sound good tho

The thing I found thet worked was tomato juice and yoga. It didnt cure it, but after an hour of yoga I felt about 90%.

Of course water and asprin, but you're gonna need that to get to you're yoga class. I like to take the asprin around three in the morning when I gotta get up and piss anyway.

Or take 2-3 aspirin before you drink with a full glass of water helps to better yet DONT drink it's not good for you anyways to be getting drunk

If I know I will be drinking that night, I'm extra certain to drink extra water the day of. Before I leave the house I drink a large cup full. By the time I get to the bar, I have to pee. I usually only drink whiskey with water. Seems I don't get hungover as easily. Either way, stick to one type of alcohol if you can. I also like to make sure I take a multivitamin the day I plan to drink too.

If you drink until you get drunk, you deserve a hang over, with a splitting head ache, beating like a drum, eyes aching, sick at your stomach, vomiting in the commode, blurred vision. ect. have fun. lol.
