Simple hints to make the ga chat adjustment a little easier..

How is your screen name pronounced?
War-town
...its an old slang name that's been used for years by locals.
War...short for Warner...town.
The city was originally named " Wellston" ..back in its early days.
It was a passenger train depot.
In its early time ..but after two trains hit head on ..and killing 18 people.
The depot was closed.
After 1950..When the Government installed and began building ..'Robins Air Force Base'
The city was renamed ...
'Warner Robins'
After Brigadier Clyde Warner and Captain Bill Robins.
...( or some dude with a name that's similier...its been a while since I've heard the qeastion )..
During the late 70's and early 80's...
Local high school students began coding the city's name as 'War-Town'....because of the military installation.
Warner Robins high school at that time were repeated state champs at high school football ...known as the Warner Robins Demons...
The Demons remained state champs for over a decade before ever losing a game...
Any county wanting to claim state championship had too.....well go to war with the demons .
...because it had been a legend for years ...that Warner Robins wasn't willing to give up there crown.
Thus ...and having R.A.B. just right across the street from where they practiced every day ....
Eventually created a new name for the city on its own...
And the new name began becoming more popular as time progressed.
I remember when class mates back in my school days at Northside High..began using the term .
I was like  is War town!?
Theyed laugh and tell me ,...its Home.

They have been in buisiness for at least 30 years...I still remember when they were located originally across the street from where they are now.
They have made a lot of money off me ..through out my life.
...yet I never thought any one from the group was familier with them.
