I ran across a word in Psalms that I had not seen before
I have always seen refuge and other words like that in psalms, but it
was the first time of me running into the word defence.
It has me interested in how it was used.
So, I looked it up in Strongs and I tried to find the Greek word for it to get the real true meaning. I also looked at other places it has been used in scripture.
But, nothing has lended to finding its real actual meaning.
I have found phrases and etc.
Does anyone have a Greek concordance or know of an online place where I can find the real true Greek meaning for this and any other words I run into?

Any word in the OT are Hebrew unless you are using the Greek Septuagint:

Thank you so much mindya. It's confusing as it seems to mean real similar to the word refuge. But, I see it's different - high tower. I'm still trying to understand the difference between the two as they are so close but to me they seem to mean differently.

If it was in Psalms you should seek the Hebrew word that was translated as defence.
This is the same as defense it can be spelled in English either way.

thanks so much. I still am thinking upon all that you both have said and I still have a question mark in my mind. I am not sure what is unclear but I will read more and maybe I will get it. Retreat means the same to me as refuge so I am not getting how defence is different than refuge. Retreat or stronghold means refuge to me. Defence seems different. Iv'e been hung up on this for a while. Thanks all for any helps you have.
