Breakfast is obviously known to be the most important meal of the day. It's a meal that people often skip as well. A breakfast smoothie can be extremely filling if you use fruits or things with protein in it. Having a breakfast smoothie in the morning can allow you to skip lunch and eat a lighter dinner. Your dinner shouldn't only contain vegetables. It should have a small amount of meat or fish. A grain and at least 2 vegetables of your choice. Try picking the more healthy vegetables like lettuce or spinach or broccoli, skip on the potatoes. During the day snacking is okay, just make sure they are healthy small. For example, almonds or yogurt or a granola bar. For dessert try to avoid ice cream but if you want something similar frozen yogurt is very tasty.

Excercising is also very important in weight loss. HOWEVER push ups, and jogging, and all that stuff is BORING. My favorite thing is DANCING. You don't even need to sign up for a program or buy a video. Why waste your money on things you can do yourself? Just play an upbeat song that you really like, and DANCE. Invite some friends too if you want! Haveva PARTY! Who said excercise had to be BORING. Excercise is fun! You just need to know how to make it fun. And as always make sure you stay HYDRATED. Drink WATER. Avoid drinks like Gatorade and Vitamin Water they are full of sweeteners and sodium. Just plain water helps. But a fat cutting trick is add a little bit of vinegar or lemon/lime juice to your water. And if you want to burn calories without excercise and hidden secret is, staying up late in the night actually speeds up the amount of calories your body burns. Weird isn't it. And always remember everyones body is different and we all have different metabolisms. Don't push you body to mch that only leads to heart attacks, strokes, and even worse death.

OMG you're "effing" retarded. Did someone drop you on your head at birth. Nobody gives a f**k bout what you saying. Ok. Eating "clean" means you can eat the same foods you always eat just smaller servings and burn calories! Dumbass. Eating clean in your definition probably means, anorexia and bulemia.

What some idiots don't realize is, your body was meant to look a certain way. Not all people were meant to be skinny. And the key to be healthy is being in shape which doesnt mean a TWIG. Soo seriously go tell someone stupid about the human body . Because you really should be talking to an idiot because you are one.

After having my daughter I lost about 45lbs, from my way of weight loss, in less than 4 months. But what some people need to realize is everyone's body functions differently. My way of losing weight may or my not work for everyone. But that doesn't mean that I can't state my way of losing weight, because it's likely that it will work for others, and it has. I lost that amount of weight in a short space of time which is remarkable considering the fact that I was attending high school and I had a young baby. Many people have trouble with that. And I did it mostly by myself. No trainer/coach, no nutritionist. Only me and MOTIVATION from friends and family and myself.

Younger age, higher metabolism, and losing baby weight is a whole different game than someone older with lower metabolism and just holding weight.

I have yet to see you offer any suggestions for losing weight so what is all your hype about?

OP is silly. The human body burns more calories while asleep than sitting still awake. Therefore staying up late dies not burn calories. Not to mention a full nights rest is necessary for muscles to repair and rebuild themselves.

What you people obviously didn't read or comprehend is I said, EVERYONES BODY IS DIFFERENT. My weight loss tricks work for me and others I know, but it may not work for everyone. And just like a "btw fyi" I was pregnant with twins and before getting pregnant, I was soccer player, cheerleader, and flag twirler. I couldn't do any of those things, during my pregnancy, so the high metabolism I had before pregnancy, changed drastically. So after I had my daughter, because I had a miscarriage and my daughter was premature as a result, I gained many pounds from a lower metabolism, eating everything I wanted to when I wanted to, etc. Soo I decided to follow a revised version of the diet I had when I was active in sports, and I lost a lot of weight. Would you like to know the diet and exercise plan I HAD to do when I was actively doing sports? I'm more than happy to share if you'd like to know!

A when you were active in sports you starved yourself?

Sounds to me like lower metabolism wasn't the main key. It was eating everything in sight with no exercise to counter-balance your appetite.

Your LIFESTYLE needed a change.

This DIET you prophesied saved you is just that. A trick. A diet. Not a lifestyle.

Sounds to me like you may have also been suffering postpartum depression or depression of some sort. That too would have needed to be addressed to create a lifestyle change.

I never starved myself, while doing sports or after sports. Once again, I was pregnant with twins, when your pregnant you have CRAVINGS. And as a high school student I didnt really have much time to exercise other than walking down the hall ways between classes and shopping for baby stuff. I couldn't do physical education, because I was pregnant and my belly got big quickly due to the fact that I was having twins, soo all I did during gym was either annoy teachers, use my phone or I would have already left school already because in my first 3 yrs of high school I did all my graduation requirements and I had 2-3 free period a day because I'd only have 1 or 2 classes (My high school had 4, 85minute classes a day) And the DIET I did after pregnancy helped me lose weight and my SOCCER, CHEERLEADING, AND FLAGTWIRLING diet, helped me keep the weight off and stay at that weight the past 3 years, as it did when I was in high school. And I have anxiety, depression, and anger management after a history of being bullied.

You said yourself you followed a revised diet of what you ate while active in sports prior to getting preggo. But this diet you preach is practically starving yourself for such high activity levels. Nutrient deficient and unbalanced. But ok.

After some googling I found an article that does agree with you but only partially. While staying up and moving around you burn 161 more calories, it shows that over the next following period if time you burn fewer calories. Sleep is necessary to repair the body. Sleep is necessary to give the body energy for activity the following day.

http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2011/01/sleep-loss-calories/

Also read about this study of overweight dieters, half the group getting 8.5 hours of sleep and the other half 5.5 hours of sleep. Those that got a full nights sleep lost fat and did not lose muscle mass, whereas those sleeping less lost less fat and lost muscle.

You are such a contradiction. You speak one thing as fact. We point out you're wrong. You claim you know that and change your story. Even still staying up late reduces your activity level the following day, thus burning less calories and burning less fat in the long run. Not healthy.

Look, I really don't have time to go back and forth with you. You do what works for you and I'll do what works for me. I have mouths to feed, people to take care of, things to bake, college applications to fill out, bills to pay, etc. Unlike you, I actually have a life and can stay active during the day when I don't sleep at night. I'm a single mother, raising my child all alone, and I obviously have ways to lose weight that work for me and have positive effects in the future. And I really don't care about losing weight because I'm not some insecure self concious person. Okay. Because I bet if someone told you, that you're fat you'd probably become anorexic or go attempt suicide. Me on the other I'd go eat some pizza, some fried chicken, anything. I'm black and hispanic, so I naturally have a big ASS. Weight loss can cause me to lose my ass, and I love it. I don't want to be a stick, I want to have MEAT ON MY BONES and a A** and curves. I'm beautiful with alll that I have. Why would I want to change that? And also losing weight too fast, can cause DEATH! My diet allows the body to lose weight at a moderate pace, why don't you try it? Also a healthy lifestyle like not drinking a lot of alcohol, and not smoking helps you live long. Good bye, I have no time to argue with you about weight loss,I'm going to continue living my long beautiful life while haveing meat on my bones. You can continue living you short life, you probably look like a skeleton with skin already.

You are really stupid.

I have a great job that pays pretty damn well. I worked my a** off to get to this point in my career. My job allows me down time that I spend on the Internet, entertaining myself with dumb immature girls like you who think you know it all.

You think I'm the one concerned with weight loss? Nope. I'm quite content the size I am, the size I've been pretty much my whole adult life give or take five pounds lower or heavier.

Never have I been anorexic. Never have I been a binge eater. Never have I considered suicide. I may smoke a cigar every few months with buddies, and I may have a glass of wine or a craft beer with dinner on occasion. I am not an alcoholic nor am I a binge drinker. Never have I been underweight, in fact I'm 'overweight' by height to weight ratio on the BMI index.

If you weren't insecure you wouldn't lash out hurling insults trying to prove yourself better. You just proved what a crappy person you are. You have bigger fish to fry than weight loss and dieting. There's a lot of internal fixing you need to do darlin.

I never said I was better than anyone and I've never tried to prove that to anyone. I only created this thread to give little tricks to successfully lose weight. I didn't expect negative dumbasses like yourself to respond. I'm a person with a very high self confidence. I accept my body the way it is. The weight I'm at now and my height is the one I was at before I had my daughter. I have always been "chubby" and I love it and soo do men. I am no where near to being a crappy person. I'm a wonderful person inside and out. I just have anxiety, depression, and anger management. I only possess anger problems when I'm approached the wrong way. So go check yourself and look in the mirror before you try telling someone else who they are.. If you want me to insult you, trust me I can. I'm on a higher level than you.

Ok this diet is not very healthy for you and for long term it will not work. It might be issues with malnutrition later on if you keep on cutting. I would suggest eating six small meals or at least 3 medium meals so your body does not go in satrvation mode and start/continue eating itself. Talk to a nutritionist to develop a meal plan for both you and your child. Focus on getting healthy and not fitting in a size 8.

OP it's important to eat all three meals a day, but smaller portions

Gatorade does have sodium, but it has electrolytes in it, which is great for training and in my case getting over a stomach virus

I would never do meal replacements, because what if you can't afford them, what happens?

I eat vegetables and fruits, being that I'm on a gluten free diet

Writing down you eat, including snacks makes you more accountable

Keeping track of your activities

Ya know what, Ladies, this thread is less about losing weight and more about lousy attitudes. I have read the whole 4 pages and am sorry I did. Somehow, I lost all the decent ideas on losing weight due to the language and nasty names you call each other. For Pete's sake, just read, get out of it what you can use and discard the rest. You will feel so much better about yourself and your kinder attitudes that you will lose weight by not carrying around so much junk in your heart.

I've read some of the comments...when dieting you must get familiar with your vitiams whats good to take. Calcium, Vitamin D, Fish Oil, Potassium,Minerals, Multi Vitamin, Lecithin Vitiams. Then you could add a colon cleanse to that but remember with the colon cleanse you must, repeat you must drink plenty of water. Two things you should take out your diet is corn and bananas..for better results take a 90 day challenge take away breads, pasta, rice, and dairy for 90days.. all unhealthy sweets out junk food out, pasteurized food out anything loaded in sodium out dont go over 250mg of sodium. Frozen dinner 97% of them are loaded in sodium..Whey and Soy Protein are good and dont skip a meal...eat exercise, drink plenty of water for snacks almonds, walnuts, peanuts for protein. Example (B) egg beaters or egg whites which ever you prefer. Turkey bacon 2slices, apple, 2 bottles of water. (L) half of a grilled chicken salad Orange 2bottles of water. (D)Grilled fish, green beans grapefruit Two bottles of water. Bedtime 1-2 bottles of water and some nuts by your bed side if you get hugry than a hand full of nuts and drink water you will fill full again. That myth dont eat after six or seven. eat. The first two weeks allow a cheat day , only one day so its nit always easy going cold tukey..note you can use your protein drink as a meal replacement for any meal, a piece of fruit and two bottles of water..remember no corn and bananas and corn. I will be back in a month..

See those cleanses are "fads" that's not a sustaining diet. Not something you can live with. Why encourage someone to force someone to eat a certain miserable way for 90 days? When the 90 days are over its too easy to cheat on yourself to the extreme

You have to drink plenty of water no matter what you do.

So basically you're saying EAT HEALTHY. Limit your intake of the bad and make good food choices. That's not a colon cleanse that's eating healthy

Quote from gingerbbw84:
Let me haul my not-as-fat a** into this thread.

Hi! now before you go writing me off let me start with I've lost 65lb. And am still losing. Oh! Let me tell you what my nutritionist, coach. Doctor, and personal knowledge has told me: eat.

Yes, eat. Based off your daily activity level there is a certain amount you should eat every day. Ready for the scary part? It's more than you think. Alot of us are not losing weight because we think we need to cut our caloric intake. Guess what. You're STARVING yourself.

Cut out grains, eat more leafy greens, protein shake? Sure! Eat a banana too. At my level I am still pretty strict with my intake. My coach? He gets to enjoy heavier meals, but he's also 168lb of muscle.

Exercise is gooooood. Lifting weights is goooooood. Women reduce the risk of osteoporosis by doing weight earring activities. Increase the intensity of your workout to shorten workout time and increase energy throughout the day.

Gatorade? If you're burning the calories those electrolytes are veeeeery important. It's not a substitute for water but it definitely beats a Monster!

Graze. Graze. Graze. Keep healthy finger foods around the house, paleo has lots of recipes for protein balls that you can casually munch on.

An important aspect of weightless is your mindset. Health is a lifestyle, not a diet. Don't focus on the pounds. Focus on a tangible goal: hike 3 hours. Go sky diving. Bike 30 miles. Do a strict pull-up. Find a goal and work towards it.

Keep. Moving.

It will get hard, but don't stop. You will crave, fight through. Remind yourself of why you are doing this.

Keep. Moving.

The more you focus on weight the harder it is to lose.

With that being said, I've an Olympic lifting class to get to!
i like the intro the weight bearing exercise is essential be cuz of bone density. My DH guy tries to take my backpack, now he can read why I insist on carrying it. Oh and that log I rolled uphill at Tehachapi Water Canyon was the best outdoor exercise I've experienced. My lad even decided to help by carring a smaller log. Cute.

While that is valid, you can accomplish the good portion of weight watchers on your own without paying outrageously. Like you said, dating healthy, everything in moderation.

-Something else that really helps you drop pounds fast is a diet that consists of a LOT of cabbage.
-Also if you have kids a long walk in the morning or afternoon is a great way to burn calories.
-Another way to lose weight is Green Tea 3 times a day everyday for three months, then switch to Oolong Tea three times a day everyday for 3 months. This helps to boost your metabolism.

Maybe you should like actually think.

There was a fad diet called the cabbage soup diet. Basically, cabbage is a filler - lots of water, some vitamins and nutrients, but mostly water. By eating the cabbage you get full on water. You would get the same effect by implementing lettuce or spinach or carrots or celery into your diet.

There have been no studies to suggest that the time of day you drink water has any extra effect on weight loss, so long as your body is hydrated. If you feel thirsty, your body is already dehydrated. It's silly to starve your body of water for sake of drowning it right before bed.

Flaxseed oil supplements are a provision of omega-3 fatty acids which can be found in fish and avocados. Instead of promoting people to continue eating unhealthy foods, why don't we encourage eating healthy foods that provide this substance rather than popping a pill and continuing to eat fried fast food.

Walking burns calories. DUH. Doing so I with your kids encourages them leading healthy active lifestyles, but this hardly adds to your title of "weight loss made easy". For someone SOOOO busy as you, how do you have time to walk with your kids. It would seem easier to toss them in the car and speed down the street to get them to school. From your pm, you simply don't have time for living and eating healthy.

I also would like to add I find it laughable that in your PM to me, you seem to think that I live some wildly differing lifestyle from you. Like I don't know what it's like to work 80-90 hours a week at four jobs. Like one of my current jobs doesn't involve a lot of sitting and driving in a car, thus making it more difficult to fit in physical activities. Living healthy and eating right is a CONSCIOUS effort. I have to plan and prepare meals a few days in advance to have healthy meals and snacks when I'm on the road or snarfing down a meal on my way to my next job.

I don't drive and I don't work on weekends. My job (baking/waitress) is in an area where I can walk there. And I bring my kids to work with me. And the product I recommended isn't a pill. it is a mixture that you put in fruit juice water or whatever liquid. It contains,
- Canadian Flax seed
- Wheat bran
- Oat bran
- Cactus
- Senna Leaf
- Psyllium husk
- Apple extract
- Orange extract
- Pineapple extract
- Grapefruit extract
It is also a great source of Omega 3, 6, and 9.
Helps support a healthy lifestyle
Healthy digestion
Healthy sugar levels
Helps support weight loss and regularity.
It is a dietary supplement sold at www.nopalinausa.com
it has 70 calories
15% of your daily value of iron
3g of protein
0mg of both cholesterol and sodium.
It is a great product for people with colon cancer and those at risk for colon cancer.
When you are giving tips on losing weight it helps to know people who have been successful using the tips you are giving. Also, factual information helps as well.

Not until you quit posting untruths. Just because you can google things does not make you an expect, especially if you don't have the knowledge to properly analyze the resources for truths and reiterate what you've read

All those properties of the flaxseed substitute miracle pill are properties of Omega 3s. Which are not only found in flaxseed, they're found in many other healthy foods. Stop for a minute and think. You said 'if you take thus supplement you can eat whatever you want and still lose weight'. You are so dead wrong.

The supplement works in a way where if you are dieting and using it at the same time your body will slowly begin to shut down. I have been using it for YEARS. Im 21 and I started using it at like 13-14 yrs old because I had to maintain a certain weight and body shape for sports and dance competitions. I could diet the way people diet when trying to lose weight. My diet consisted of a lot of fatty foods. And from the age of 13-around 17 I maintain a weight at the max of 115lbs. The average I had was about 105. The lowest about 98-100. So, when using Nopalina it is NOT healthy to have strict diet plan. You CAN eat fried foods, unhealthy snacks, soda, candy, just in MODERATION. If you have a diet with like barely any food or like salad everyday and low cal shit, your body WILL SLOWLY SHUT DOWN WHILE USING THIS PRODUCT. To be more specific your body will appear as if you have ANOREXIA or BULEMIA. So while taking nopalina eat foods that are fatty and unhealthy in moderation, dont diet and eat like a cow (GRASS). Eat like a Black or Hispanic person. Eat your Cornmeal porridge (full of nutrients but fattening) and your fried chicken. ¿Comprende?

Go vegan.
You shud pay attention to what you eat,not how much.
Vegan is a life style,not a diet.
Diets always fail,always.
As soon as you go off the diet you return to former bad habits and regain the weight.
You don't have to be a PETA type,do it for your own health.
OP ,you are young, you are getting on the yo yo bandwagon.
You probably won't realize this until 15 to 20 years from now,but please remember this advice from an old man who has been there.

I have some days, consecutive days, where I eat vegan, and others where I don't.

I don't understand why you're telling someone to eat like shit and take a supplement to CURE IT ALL.

Gaining weight is easy. Maintaining your weight is easy. Losing it is not. It's not supposed to be. It takes work. And relearning your body.

It's as EASY as this:

Eat healthy. Work out. Continue to live eating healthy and including aerobic and strength activities in your daily life and you will maintain a healthy weight.

Plain. And simple. No it's. Ands. Or butts.

A women who is nursing their infant needs more calories than a pregnant woman. I hope you are nursing that poor baby so she builds up some immunities. You don't want an ill infant drinking formula from China? Lord have mercy. The stress alone will make you gain it all back.

I dont breastfeed and diet. I wait until I either completely stop breastfeeding or limit the amount of breastfeeding. My baby is now abt 5 months and he is ready to start eating a little bit of solids.

Dieting doesnt help your body. It slows your bodys LEPTIN. To lose weight and help keep it off you should diet, exercise, AND eat the "fatty/unhealthy" foods you love once a week and the other days to help weight loss eat around 20-30 grams extra in CARBS. Also, rice and white bread DO NOT help maintain weight loss.

OP is the one who keeps talking about "dieting". And promoting eating unhealthy and taking some miracle pill/substitute to cure poor eating habits.

Everybody's nutritional health requires a small amount of fat to absorb nutrients. Everybody's diet also requires fiber and protein. You can find those in healthy or unhealthy carbs or snacks, the choice is ultimately the end user.
