Went last weekend down on the Washita, no crappie but did land a 15 lbs. flathead and a few small channel cats. 8 days from now and I'll get to fish for 10 days straight. I love vacations!

I was just happy to see that there actually is some water back in Canton Lake when I drove by it. But I just moved to Fairview so I plan spending lots of time there in the near future.

Yep, went out fishing 2 weeks ago with my uncles and the damn boat tried to sink on us. You could call it the family boat, been in the family since the 70s and has been afro-engineered (see also "n**ger rigged") so many times I'm surprised it can even float at all.
I don't really like to fish, but I like being out on the water and spending time with friends and family in the process.

Same here. I took my boat out last Sunday....its a new boat. Started right up and took me across the lake. turned the motor off and would not restart. Had to get back using the trolling motor.
Still have not been able to go fishing. That little trip was my attempt.
Im actually BUYING fish....aint that something in state like OK that has all kinds of places to catch fish!!!

Went fishing at my dad's pond. Well my kids did. My 3 year old was catchin them to fast for me to do anything but take'em off and cast for her.

I have been fishing some yes. The crappie I've caught are full of eggs so if they aren't already they will be spawning soon.

Went fishing late this afternoon at Kerr lake, from the bank.
Very slow. We caught about ten total. Fair sized. Took us almost six hours.
That's BS. Used minnows, fished at about three to four feet deep in about six feet of water.
Well do better next time, lord willing.

I like fishing my Dad's pond. A little sad that it only has the babies now, but it's a great way for mini me to learn. She's entirely too independent to allow someone to help her, she'd lose the pole before she'd ask for help.

Off topic for a minute...
It has come a "turd floater" here in Poteau!
June 6th, 2014, approx 11:00 a.m.
Rain is coming down in sheets. The wind blew my BBQ grill off of the patio...wow!
I want and need the rain, but I would gladly do without the gusts and strong wind.
ETA...my dog, Fred, is freaking out. I wonder what it is about rain and thunder that freaks dogs out? He's 50 lbs and 15 years old and tries to crawl in my lap when the rain starts. He'll hold it for two days rather than get his feet wet to out to potty.
