I just finished watching "Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio" a cute movie that Wood Harrelson plays a drunk royal jerk, spending his money on booze that his family of 12 needs for milk and other necessities.
It's set in the 1950s when you had to be creative with jingos and slogans to when contests. The wife has to enter contests to save the family and win prizes in her name and in the names of her numerous kids. Woody gets abusive when he's drunk.
Anyway, a new DH media poll: Who is the better person at handling the household budget? In general, The husband in your current or former marriage? The wife? Neither? both?
Or does it depend upon the individual people and their back ground?
For example, my ex-wife could find all sorts of bargains for the kids' clothes at Dillard's for the end of season clearance sales. But Those kids had more clothes than really needed. They outgrew things quicker than they wore them out. She had Dillard's-Joske's tastes on a Walmart budget. And, that got us in trouble! Since she made more $ I made the mistake of letting her handle the budget.
So, what's your opinion? Why?
Personally, I think it depends upon the individual's background and traits! But in general, I think older men. In general, women, unless they are single with kids, like to shop more than men. But some men are bad about wasting money on booze and drugs.
A few ground rules. This is a serious discussion. If you can't dispute someone's thoughts without being a royal jerk and using foul language, you will be deleted and banned. OP's have the power to ban rude people!
