I use coconut oil for just about everything...
Cooking/Baking
Oil pulling for teeth
Body cream/moisturizer
Facial cream/moisturizer
Hair mask
Makeup remover
Are there other uses for coconut oil, and eliminate other not so natural products?

I use it on my hair as well. It's awesome to moisturize the ends and prevent them from splitting. I also consume about a tablespoon of the extra virgin coconut oil on a spoon each day before exercise. Try it and it gives you this massive burst of energy.

@empis_stylist: oil pulling is like mouth wash... except you use pure organic oil such as olive/sesame/coconut oil... just in general oil is more effective in targeting bacterias and such in your mouth/between your teeth... also depends what oil you use, you get the other benefits such as whiter teeth... you should google it for more info...
And as far as cooking with coconut oil... use REFINED coconut oil... it cones in either solid or liquid form and has NO scent... perfect for everyday cooking... UNrefined is better of course but i have hard time cooking with it as well... unless im baking...

I've been wondering about the capsules but I also like the taste of the organic coconut oil so don't mind just taking it off a spoon. Do the capsules give you that same kind of burst of energy? Do you notice you feel almost as if you've had some coffee but with no jitters? I've read about it online a bit and it seems coconut oil can process through the liver rather rapidly so even though it's a fat, it acts almost like a carbohydrate.
And for the guy who doesn't like to cook with coconut oil, try located a brand that says it's "made from mature coconut meat". That wont impart any flavor or smell of coconut to your food.

Sorry, what she said here. I didn't catch this. There is a brand I buy from Walmart called "Lou Ana". You will locate it in the oils and baking needs aisle. It comes in an opaque plastic white container. It says this on the label and it's true. Only the virgin types actually smell and taste like coconut.
Refined from the meat of mature coconuts so there is no coconut flavor or aroma

@xashax: I dont think I ever felt a burst of energy taking coconut oil... not even when i was spooning up straight from a jar... but I do feel a bit more awake in the morning if i take it in the morning before work...

I definitely find it to feel extreme at times. Maybe not always. It could be that I'm just sort of feeling tired and by contrast it feels like a lot of energy all at once.

Heh, I used to use it for facial but now just moisturizing in general during the winter months. I also put it in my oatmeal so its a daily diet for me along with other goodies on top of it. Hair? I think I'll try that. I also use it for open wounds, sunburns or rub rash (Like your skin rubbed on something over time to where your skin becomes nearly raw) to heal.

I use it on the ends of my hair at night and sleep on it. It definitely prevents breakage. Pretty much oils in general will do that and extra virgin (the dark green) olive oil is also good for hair. Just keep them off the scalp or you will need to shampoo.

I've seen it in pill form in the drugstore. Does it enhance weight loss in your opinion? I find it's just easier to take like a tablespoon pre workout to get a bit of an energy rush. I use the organic virgin coconut so it tastes better.
