i don't have kids at this point. i'm indifferent to whether i "settle down" enough to have kids. i love my career, i feel i'm making a difference in my company, for my customers, for my customer's businesses, for my employees. my career is like my child - nurturing it, growing it, help others through it.
i've adopted a few cats, they too, i feel like my presence on this planet, although it's only for three useless cats, has a purpose. i've given them a home, someplace warm, food and water and love.
do i wish there was more? yes. but are kids the answer? no. would somebody to share my love with be the answer? that might help. but am i happy with the small things that give me purpose in life? yes. very much so.

Some people don't want kids some do. Some know they would not be good parents so they don't have them. It makes no difference to me if someone doesn't have them.
If the person is happy with their life is what matters.

I come from a family of 10, I am the second oldest of 8 and grew up poor. I decided in my late 20's kids weren't for me. It was the best decision I ever made. The men I have met would have made lousy fathers because most didn't have their lives together. They wanted friends with benefits and not a girlfriend or wife. I would hate to have a child with this person and he's not in my life anymore and the child is blaming me. I feel happy everyday about my decision. That's money I can myself and my future retirement.
