Why are you wanting to only target forearms? Have you had an injury that has left them weak? Do you dream to become Popeye?

Nothing wrong with training forearms! People tend to forget them. Same exercises you can do with dumbbells should also work with a kettlebell.
These are my personal favorite:

I had a major arm injury ... and forearm exercises were a must in order to stave off muscle atrophy, build strength in the muscle, tendons, and ligaments.
Curls Curls Curls ----- asymmetric extensions & rotations. To begin.

Forearms get plenty of work during biceps curls cause they have to maintain the wrists straight. Get up to some heavy curling poundage, and your forearms will be bigger.
What most want to get work in for is grip strength. Grip strength many times eventually lags behind in big exercises, requiring many to have to use wrist-straps. A great exercise for it are sets of extra-heavy, 20-second barbell holds over some knee-high barbell supports. This type of grip work more directly transfers over to most exercises where you have to hold a heavy bar or dumbbells during exercise execution. It contributes to forearm size as well as you progress through higher barbell hold poundages.

Doing bicep curls wont get you the detail and definition that some may desire for their forearms.
Also, doing bicep curls only works your brachioradialis and your flexor carpi radialis no matter if you work the short head or the long head.
You need to do forearm specific to work your palmaris, flexor ulna, and flexor superficialis.
The larger and more defined your forearm is, the larger your bicep will look by making your elbow look smaller.
And yes, i want to look like Popeye.

Hammer curls are a good option, where you raise the dumbbells with your thumbs facing up as opposed to your palms. And hand grippers work the forearms as well as the wrists. Reverse preacher curls are also good.

Bicep curls, reverse curls, and barbell curls with weights in the way to build good to great forearm strength. Deadlifts also help forearm strength too....gamer
