When I found my new bf I wasn't sure because he's different from anyone I've ever dated and I wondered why I was so attracted to him and what was this strong connection about. But I am so so happy I / we pursued each other because he's awesome and amazing and in 3 years (I think) on here, he's the only one locally worthwhile LOL and he is SO worthwhile

I can relate to this experience on most dating websites. IMO I feel a lot of Women are in a hurry for some reason so if there's something they are not sure or impatient about moving on is their default behaviour.

No I haven't It's like women either want Mr. good looking, Mr. money, Or the bad boy type. I've been a member since Feb of 2014. had some women write me then quickly stop. I guess they think I am a scammer for being open about my past? I was married for 14 years, from dec 4,1999 till dec 28 2014 when my late Ill wife passed away. She went blind four years before and had dialysis for the last three years of her life. I would not put her in a nursing home, but her last two days of life were spent at the local hospice center. I was there holding her hand when she passed away.

You'd think that would be the normal thing to do. But this site is more than just a lost and found for love, life, and happiness. It has blogs and a large forum with a sense of community spirit, of sorts. Surrounding the overall theme which usually takes a back seat anyway, unless your a die-hard and take a literal meaning to heart, depending on your perspective of what DH means. It's usually a thing to be discussed with the person you find on here/elsewhere when you both decide to get serious.
It would be equally respectful to UPDATE ones profile as being off the market, so to speak. But if that's not happening either it's not worth their time in the long run or they just don't have time to keep everybody informed. I'd think a persons investment in someone special should be communicated on a profile if it's still public.

I want looking for anything serious...came out of a long term relationship about six months ago...a meet a guy from out of my area on here and we saw each other for close to two months...things moved to fast and i bailed. I speed dated and wow....that didn't turn out well. I saw a friend of mine on and off...he was amazing. He was liking for more then i was. I finally got to a point that i was ready to get attached and we started seeing each other regularly. I've known him seven years...we were just friends. We have been dating for a little over two months.....it is fantastic.

Met some great people. A couple of them we are just friends. No benefits. One we dated for 6 months but were not a match in the long run. We text once in awhile. To see how the other one is. It seems that more people seem to find a potential someone easier in the real world than online. At least that's my experience, that first glance, first hello, etc... Then again even with those initial happenings there's probably hundreds gone unnoticed. Online can be direct, but it seems more like a waiting game. Where a person might initiate something out of boredom over that once in a blue moon exciting prospect.

I always thought Women were the first to open up and talk, but I find that online they're pretty closed. Or perhaps that they're too busy multitasking to commit to a single conversation without getting sidetracked by 50 other messages from hotter prospects.
