The older group that used to be on here would do get togethers. The main guy that used to host them did breakfast get togethers at a buffet breakfast place where everyone could get what they wanted. Then when he was leaving the site he needed someone to take over hosting. I volunteered and have organized a few get togethers. Thereare three or ffour who still visit this forum from the old group and there are lots of nice new faces too. What we did was have the breakfast get togethers at 9am or so. Then we planned activities afterward that we all wanted to do. We went to an old car show, nature center..other activities. Another group sometimes got together in the evening but the most people came when we did breakfast and let people choose which activities to do afterwards as they got more comfortable with people at breakfast. The last one I did the group actually stuck together for activities the rest of the day too. Just a heads up several right in the SF area who didn't have to travel didn't show. The ones who drove hours to attend are the ones who went so we could have done it in a different location too. I'd be glad to pm you or let you know what I know regarding scheduling and organizing these from all the times I hosted. I'll also be coming to SF I think it's on the 29th I have my appointment so I'll be probably staying over on the 28th and would love to do breakfast with a group if any of you would like to get together? 9 or 10am would be great. I'm also a morning person and can do anytime that morning because my appointment just happens to be in the afternoon. Let me know... I'm going tomorrow am to confirm the time of my September 29 appointment and then maybe ill make an official thread inviting people to breakfast. .won't be able to confirm the time until tomorrow.
