This site doesn't have the same popularity it once had when that rule was made. I guess, at the time, such a rule made since. But now, it no longer does.
After posting on other forums, I see that almost no other site does this closing of topics. It seems stupid to close a topic.
This site's forums are dominated with many redundant topics that only have a few replies.
Can this site take away the expiration date on the forums, and can this site combine identical topics?

It would make this site more enjoyable. Also, it'd clean up a lot of the silly redundant topics.
Combine all scammer topics, combine all "how do I delete?" topics, combine all "what's your favorite__" topics...
Several of the topics I've posted, the conversation never reached a conclusion, or a new perspective could be added. It'd be nice if the topics were still open for discussion.

They should delete "scammer threads" that call out a specific name. There's no way to know if that person is just trying to black list another member like people who call specific users flaggers. That would clean up a lot of annoying and redundant threads.
