Reminds of that recent story about the school allowing their athletes to pass courses just so they can play and generate money For the school. Moral of the story being that as long as they are providing something we want we will let them get away with being dumb as a box of rocks.

I don't know if it is intentional or not but I notice a lot of ladies (possibly gentleman but I don't check their profiles) cannot spell the simplest of words but claim independence and intelligence. Did I miss the boat or is a new seduction craze? Does an illiterate person turn you on?

book smarts and intelligence aren't the same thing.
I've seen educated people use their book smarts as a tool to down play someone less educated to make themselves look better. It's very unattractive and not very intelligent.

Someone is confusing spelling with intelligence. There's a lot of people that can't spell. They could be dyslexic but that doesn't have anything to do with their intelligence.
Look up famous people with dyslexia and you might not judge people who can't spell so harshly.

Being illiterate is not sexy. It's perfectly human to be bothered by those who cannot complete a proper sentence or spell and use words correctly. I don't consider it laziness. I think most just don't know any better. And probably don't care to.
