Ok I am recently divorced and have been out of the dating seen for awhile now. I feel it is time to move on. I have just asked a smoking hot girl out on a date. We are going out on a Monday night, so my first choice of dinner and a comedy club is out of the picture. I know she likes golf so I am leaning towards dinner and miniature golf. Maybe offering a wager of loser makes dinner for the winner. Ladies do you feel this is a good idea. Guys do you have any suggestions.

Also should I bring flowers or not?

Please Help.

I think that 's a really good idea. Then it wouldn't be such a serious situation and she would see the fun side of you right away. Maybe jsut a single yellow rose to greet her with. Good luck. I hope things work out for you.

Me personally, I would not make a wager with her, unless the date is going EXTREMELY well and you guys have been laughing it up all ready, and she seems to have a great sense of humor, then throw it in there only as a joke, while you are playing golf and she how she reacts. That way she has gotten a little time to get to know you at dinner ...then go from there.. JMO.. But GOOD LUCK.

Why wouldn't you just take her to a strip club? The atmosphere is perfect, very intimate and well, the scenery could be better than what you're with! Maybe she even digs chicks... who knows! OK Im kidding!!!

I don't usually do dinner on a first date it's usually Brunch and makes for a less intimate and pressured date. If the date goes badly, you can still leave and head out for the night. But your plan seems to be a pretty good one, no stress, light-hearted atmosphere, could be a fun and quirky evening for the two of you. I'd say roll with it, but make sure she likes flowers before you bring her one, I know some women aren't very fond of flowers... ask her nonchalantly if she likes flower... c'mon I know you have it in you! Good luck and let us know the results!

The first date should be where you can get to know each other by talking and communicating. Dinner and miniture golf sounds good, but forgwet the wager.
You want the second if there is one with no strings attached.

As for flowers...why not???? Unless she has allergies.....

I think it is very original, considering where you are from! Good luck!

kingsfan, anything that keeps the conversation going is the right way to go. I love taking dates to comedy clubs, because it keeps us both laughing. I recommend one white rose for the first date, two for the second, etc..... If the date goes well, call her in two days, to arrange another date. But at least drop her a text or email, or a note telling her how great of a time you had before then.

Good idea, but let her know up front so that she can dress down. Mini-golf in high heels as a surprise might not go over well. I'd go easy on the flowers, just one might be good for a start. Don;t want to spook her, but the light hearted relaxed atmosphere with the good weather should be a plus. Good idea.

No bets that require a second date. A bet for a quarter on the golf could be a nice joke. Flowers are always good, but since this is the first date, maybe just a blossom or two, not a bouquet.

Make sure the mini-golf is open on Monday. As someone said, advise her on how to dress.

If you're her type, it won't matter if you take her to Paris on your private jet or just hang out in front of the bubble gum machine on the corner by the 7-11.
And if you're NOT her type, it won't matter, either.

Things to consider: Bringing flowers has ALWAYS been poison to me, but maybe it's different for you.
And golf is not the same as miniature golf, as highly polarized and narrow as so many people are today, she may well LOVE one and HATE the other.

I can only speak for myself, and here goes....I would not feel comfortable with a wager, it comes off as assuming we will get together again, and if we dont click that would not be a good idea....second...flowers are thoughtful...but they wither and die before you can get them home for water during the date......jmo, good luck and have fun.

I also would say no flowers. All the guys bring them and you want to stand out, even if she turns out not to be for you. You want her to remember you. Bring her a small teddy bear, or maybe her favorite animal. I dated a woman that was into frogs. I brought her a keyring with a small stuffed frog on it. She still has it hanging next to the back door with her garage keys on it.

Make dinner something different as well. Maybe trying to a new place together, make it a shared adventure. Make it fun and interesting.
