The way to get past dh messaging and texting is to meet. Meet as soon as you feel comfortable to do so, and take the usual internet dating precautions. Sounds like you are talking to guys who dont know when to pull the trigger and ask you out. If so, take the initiative and ask them out.
Taking this a step further, people are afraid to communicate. Not talking about texting and messaging and all that, but face to face and especially after you have met someone a few times. A lot of dating can be fun, but less than informative. I have great patience and observe and converse with someone and learn a lot. But for a lot of people it is too hard or whatever to really talk about the things you really want from a relationship. People are afraid they will lose someone, but that's ok if it was the wrong someone, and a lot of people never have the conversations that tell them whether the person is right for them.

Single dad with 50/50 custody, dating can be fun and all but sometimes you just need a good friend who can understand that time is precious along with quality time in person. Find that balance is what is difficult. Love being a single dad as it levels the playing field when dating single Mom's. Dad has no time for silly games or little snot types... weeds them out. Be picky just like the single moms are... You will find one who can deal with your Single Dad life style, She may not be a party girl but she will party on your turf... which is better anyway. She may not always be that 10 either... Take a good 8 and be happy. Chasing 10's for a single dad can be tough as just take a second look at that 8...
