who is more affected by divorce the one who file a divorce or the one who isnt ? and what is alimony ? is that compulsory or not ? how many months or years a divorcee can married again ? or have a relationship ?

I got a car right after. I left town for awhile then came back but the point is not all divorces end bad for the man.

Its an individual thing....some of either gender can take it harder than others.

in general men fall deeper than women, but sometimes women can take things harder.

So there is no one set answer.

Technically speaking...thou society has changed in its views of women....being independant, etc, etc.

and most are self supporting....but old time antiquated divorce laws have not kept up with the times.

Back in the old days, even if everything was her fault...she could soak him for more per month than he made, because society looked at women as just above a child...as much as I hate to say that.

My Grandmother became a stock broker for Payne Webber and was successful and started there back in the late 40's...disproving that theory...but its just how the times were.

I suppose these days most could do the same thing.....if they wanted to....but many choose just to get out of the marriage, and pronto...and side step all that court time to just get free again.

There are things disturbing to men that a wife can do....but so far the courts and society don't recognise many of these things as reasoning for him winning out....and lay the...your a man, you should be able to take it on him.

As far as I know...as soon as the divorce is final....they are free to do whatever.

That's probably why I've never married yet. It semms like a such a gamble because 60 percent of all marriages in America end in divorce!

not if you have kids or disputes...every thing that comes up and you might have to go back to Family Court that granted the divorce to resolve.

if you've got a non disputed no property/kids divorce..Reno, Bahamas, etc, work just fine.

I never hear in these threads the men talk about losing their wife or kids in a divorce.
