The most pertinent assessment label isn't included in the choices. He's one of many famous or infamous people with a very mixed list of accomplishments and mistakes to his name.
But generally, I'd put him in exactly the same category as Rush Limbaugh: someone who pretends to have lofty principles, in order to puff themselves up, and fool others into supporting them financially, when all they actually do is posture self-righteously for the media.
Oh, and to keep it pertinent to the forum, I wouldn't date either one of them either.

crimes as well but he only goes after white on black. And had Martin Luther King Jr. lived

but I told my father once, you can answer most questions about the country, by taking a large bill from your wallet.
Then consider the question, look at the money, and then usually the answer becomes very clear.

Al Sharpton is a product of a different time. During that time, he WOULD be a hero. That time needed blacks like Al Sharpton. Black men that could stand up to white oppression were sorely needed, and Al Sharpton definitely raged against that.
However, just like the old white people who hate blacks, his time has come and gone. He's a relic of that time who can't get over the fact that things have changed. Sure, there's some lingering crap left over, but it's being dealt with. Albeit, slowly... however people no longer turn a blind eye to discrimination anymore.
Hero or not, he's not needed anymore and he does more harm than good now. Like a hero in a book, he needs to know when his story is over, and his story ended long ago.

Because he usually turns up after a situation has accoured which has been deemed as racially motivated by many.. So how can he be a baiter? This would mean he's trying to cause problems.. Yet most of the time you just see him in the background or standing behind the victims families while they make a speech..
What he is, is basically one of those slimey lawyer types.. He knows he will make money on certain cases just like a lawyer would.. There are much worse people out there stop b*tching.
