This is an issues they are having at craigslist too; if you ckick on the link they can access your computer and steal your data...
In order to fight scammers, I suggest some extra rules for people in order to have access to DH:
1) Provide at least 3 pictures with visible face (then the profile can be invisible, but the pictures have to be there for CS to check the authenticity of the profile).
2) Fill up the profile (empty profiles dont make sense).
3) Provide a telephone number where a code will be sent and it will be necessary in order to activate the profile. This telephone number will be linked to the profile and any profile can be linked to one telephone number only (this is also good in order to avoid people to have multiple profiles).

Wull.....whatever.......the use of. The word rid conjures up clogged pipes ... imo .... I was waiting for the OP to describe what the tool scammers .... apparently a misspelled word for scrammer .... Could do to fibulae the backup.

No this thread is about suggesting some method to reduce the amount of scam like some other website already does.
The idea of having your profile tied to a telephone number isn't mine, craigslist does it.
So why don't do something against that, if possible?
For you can be an alternative at thinking only your littlle crap all day long isn't?

Can you come up with a button that lets us mark an delete profiles as spammers or fake with openin messages or looking at profiles it seems that once i open a message or look at a profile that is a spammer i get hit up by more

This morning as soon as i got online within about 3 minutes i recieved 10 messages that all read the same hello from 10 different profiles. The level of fake profiles has gotten to the point of putting the whole platform in jeopardy. Time is valuable and scammers are a waste of time.
Please find a way to eliminate fakes and scammers. I guess if everyone blocks them they will be deleted. But the frquency has really increased as of late and the scammer profiles are getting better.

this site doesn't care ^^^^^ the site probably generates a lot of the fakes itself, to increase the numbers for advertising dollars. So don't expect any results from the site.

Those 10 hello messages may not be fakes. It might just be lonely guys that don't know how to type.
Original poster, I wish this site would do something to verify profiles. It doesn't stop scammers, but it'd reduce the number of bots.
3 pictures? No.
Phone number? Maybe.
Empty profiles? Probably not. But that'd be the easiest to implement.
