I don't know the answer....but I do notice enough regulars on here talk about how there is no one worth while in their area, but they see people far off, they wouldn't mind dating. I had that on mine when I was dating and still got messages from all over..because they don't read the profiles. er..have you looked in a mirror? you're attractive, young (relatively) etc.. just focus on the ones you DO want..and ignore the rest.

Sometimes it may be being just curious about my profile....sometimes its just they can't find anyone good in their area. as for these men you refer to....maybe part of the deal is, they tried and failed with the women in their area....so they branch out. I don't know. One thing I use to get sometimes was emails and attempts at heavy flirting....when the real deal was....they were afraid of a real relation...so they just filled that void sometimes seeking some on line love affair....then bail when they got their fill of it. another learning experience for me....so maybe that's part of it too. If you asked them to come meet you for coffee in the morning I doubt they'd show up but if they did then you'd at least know they are willing to put in some effort.
