When I was your age, I had a gf whose parents were trying to marry us off asap. She was a 1st generation American, her parents were from the east side of the Iron Curtain of Russia. I never married her, and I am on my 2nd wife now. All in all, you have the right idea don't waste your time waiting, if it comes your way, don't turn away from it.

Why be so much in a hurry to be married and divorced, OP? You aren't ready to be married and neither is any girl your age. You can't support a girl flippin burgers at McDonalds and your folks sure won't support you two while you screw all day and drink beer. First get a job. (He's likely fainted by now) and then get a place of your own. Buy a car and everything you ever wanted. Be a slave to some job you hate with some moron for a boss who can barely lisp a b c and threaten his employees. THEN go out with some nice Catholic girl. NO! Don't screw her until AFTER marriage. The ring is supposed to cost 6 months wages isn't it and with some luck daddy will mortgage the house again to pay for the party  I mean the wedding. By this time you ought to be about 25 and have some common sense and be able to see that marriage is more than sex and drinking beer and sex and letting her support you and sex. By 25 you ought to be as mature as you think you are now. 19 is just way too young. I agree with the girls on this one. Why rush into marriage when you probably aren't mature enough or financially secure enough to make it work? Get engaged when you're 25.

One problem with getting married late after College and having kids can be...
by the time they are 30....your near dead and may never see your grand kids grow up.
and if your kids wait that long....you may never live to see your grand kids.
and at some point, you want to have life with just the two of you again, while your still young enough.
but that won't be either, because these days kids stay at home a lot longer than they use to be.
So there you are 60, with kids still living at home.
If your 35 and start having them....then your 65 with a 30 year old as the oldest.
Something to think about and in a way its selfish....because of how this effects their life.
They end up with the relative's and parent dead and gone, by a way to early of an age....and when they hit that age they see faults in you and embarrassed around their friends with you around...thinking they see this too.
Its a double wammy because of how old you are.
