I voted NO.They need to replace all the asphalt which needs repair every year
or so.At the cost of 30k for sealer and 300k to be done correctly for 1 mile of road.Concrete lasts much longer, may be higher in cost but doesn't need yearly repairs.

Where does all this Lottery money go? I thought for schools.
They have no back up plan so to me that means we're gonna get
SCREWED either way.

I honestly can't think of anyone but a politician that would vote YES on this..

So I'll be shocked if it passes, although there was low voter turn out -- so who knows.

Hmmmm... let's see... we wanna change the tax structure of the 'gas tax'. We will use that money for 'TRANSPORTATION' (not necessarily ROADS). We wanna increase the sales tax which will also go to 'TRANSPORTATION'. Oh, we should give a good portion of the collected revenue to 'EDUCATION' (not necessarily schools). And we want to put this in the michigan constitution!!

Oh, HELLLLLLLLL NO!

Now they need a plan 'b'. How about this..? Gas tax money goes to the roads. (Currently only @ 70% goes to the roads.) Maybe I could state it another way so 'lansing' might understand: gas tax money goes to the roads. Also, maybe they should spend the current revenue more appropriately, instead of on stupid shit! Also, what frog said above.

& yes, I did vote, but I probably shouldn't say if I voted yes or no.

The 'next one' coming is @ the insurance companies & the MCCA fund. (Michigan catastraughic claims something..) for people that are SERIOUSLY injured. Such as needing care 24/7. @ 10, maybe 15 years ago, 'lansing' decreed the fund was 'overfunded' & the insurance companies had been collecting tooo much money from us to put into this fund, which was @ $120.00 per year. So... lansing made the insurance companies give us all a refund (which was @ $50.00) & drop the rate to @ $80.00 per year. Coool!! Right?? Well, 'somehow' that yearly rate has crept up to @ $400.00 per year!! PER VEHICLE!!!!! So, if ya have 2 vehicles, you're paying ito the fund TWICE! Got a motorcycle? Yep, you're paying into it AGAIN!! Got 7 vehicles? Yep, you guessed it... to the tune of @ $400.00 PER VEHICLE, PER YEAR! (Currrently, that MCCA fund has @ 18 billion dollars in it.) Now, this might sound like I'm ranting a bit, & if it does, my apologies. But, LUCKY for us, thre are only TWO types of taxes. Yes, only two. Direct, & indirect.

See... there is a bright side!
