IN ANOTHER TIME AND ANOTHER PLACE

In another time and another place,
I would have sprinkled Stardust in your hair.
I would have taken you to the stars and beyond,
And whispered sweet nothings in your ear.
Our hearts would have soared on eagles wings,
As the universe would have been our’s to explore.
I would have given you the key to my heart,
Where you could have opened each and every door.
The joy of two spirits meshing as one,
The spark of a touch and a warm embrace.
These are the things that could have been,
In another time and another place.
The love, the joy, that could have been,
would have been the best you would surly find.
The reason I know all this to be true,
Is I have already loved you, gently in my mind.

A Wild Rose

Today I seen a Wild Rose, Its beauty in full display.
I bent over and was immersed in the inner sweetness of each individual petal.
And I heard this voice within me say,
If you pick this Rose it will wither and die,
Its vibrancy will soon be gone.
Leave it here, wild and free and it will fill the air with its fragrance,
It is here that it belongs.
Every passer by will revel in its beauty,
As it blossoms year after year.
I turned to slowly walk away,
And from my eye I gently felt a tear.
I turned to give it one last look,
And its beauty was embedded on my mind,
I thought I saw a drop of water fall softly from a petal.
It was a memory that will transcend all time.
But tomorrow she will be greeted by the sunshine,
And watered by the rain.
And I will trod this way to be immersed in her beauty once again.
I will pull the weeds from around her and
Help her to flourish and grow.
For she is truly where she should be,
This beautiful Wild Rose.

You write beautiful poetry Danny!

A friend of mine wrote this:

What Jesus Asks Of Us…

“Love your God with your
heart, soul and mind.”
This is the first great
commandment you’ll find.

“Love your neighbor as yourself,”
is number two...
These commands are what
Jesus asks of me and you.

The law, the prophets hang
on these commands.
God loves you! He doesn’t
Make “impossible” demands.

His death on the cross and
the life he gave…
He wants our love for him
in how we behave.

He created us to have a
relationship with him.
That we may know what
It means to be “born again.”

Reading his word will give us
wisdom in what’s asked…
This will give us a desire to
obey him that will last.

Let’s wholeheartedly serve him now!
Our lives… He'll restore!
Living for Jesus… Who could ask
for anything more?

The Best Day Of My Life

Today when I awoke, I suddenly realized
that this is the best day of my life, ever!

There were times when I wondered if
I would ever make it to today, but I did!

And because I did, I'm going to celebrate!
What an unbelievable life I have had so far;

The accomplishments, the many blessings, and yes, even the
Hardships because, they have served to make me stronger.

I will go through this day with my
head High, and a happy heart.

I will marvel at God's seemingly simple gifts; the morning dew,
the sun, the clouds, the trees, the flowers, the birds

Today none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice,
Today I will share my excitement for life with other people

I'll make someone smile, I'll go out of my way to perform an
unexpected act of kindness for someone I don't even know.

Today I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down
I'll tell a child how special he is, and

I'll tell someone I love just how deeply
I care for her, or him, and How much she or he means to me.

Today is the day I quit worrying,
about what I don't have.

And start being grateful for all the wonderful
Things God has already given me.

I'll remember, that to worry is just a waste of time
because my faith in God, and his Divine Plan

ensures everything will be just fine.
And tonight before I go to bed

I'll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens I'll stand in
awe, at the beauty of the stars and the moon.

And I will praise God for these magnificent treasures,
As the day ends, and I lay my head down on my pillow.

I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life,
And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child,

Excited with expectation, because I know tomorrow,
Is going to be the best day of my life, ever.

This Is The Best Day Of My Life.

THAT ONE ROOM SCHOOLHOUSE
In a one room schoolhouse,
I learned my A, B, C’s.
There was a potbellied stove,
So we wouldn’t freeze.

We carried our water,
From a farmer near by.
Had a blackboard in the front,
And the ceilings were high.

No lights in school,
Till the second year.
There were kerosene lanterns
hung everywhere.

The girls wore pigtails,
All neatly arranged.
We dipped them in inkwells,
And their color got changed.

We played ball on a hill,
Third base was a tree.
If you had to slide,
Do it carefully.

It was in the woodshed,
Out behind the door,
I fell madly in love,
Forever more.

I got my first kiss,
And oh what a thrill,
In that one room schoolhouse,
On Pleasant Ridge Hill.

We walked too and from school,
Up hill both ways.
That one room schoolhouse,
Those were the days.

The God That I DO Believe In!

There’s a God that I really DO believe in!
I knew this the moment I received him!

This is the God whom I hold special and dear!
He’s always with me! Always near!

He’s the God of the glory of heaven above!
He’s also the God who’s given us his love!

He’s the God who doesn’t
want anyone to go to hell!

His son gave his life!
So your soul can be well!

I’ve given him my life, with a renewed commitment!
He’s brought to me peace and a godly contentment!

He’s God! And can’t be ruled by someone’s theology!
He can’t be explained by science or biology!

He’s given us his word for a godly inspiration!
Let’s not twist it, into our own “interpretation!”

He’s alive and powerful! Let the whole earth proclaim!
Themajestic wonder and glory, there is in HIS name!

Jesus is alive today! He reigns in resurrection power!
You too can know him! And be changed this very hour!

TheGod that I believe in, can be your God too!
He’sdone his part! The rest is up to YOU!

A CHILDS TIME OF INNOCENCE

My thoughts go back in the pages of time,
When the woods was my playground.
And every hill had to be climbed.
God made the universe just for me,
It was a time of innocence, a time to be free.

I was awed at the birds, as they sang their song,
And marveled at the creek so winding and long.
I would swim in the stream after a hot sweaty day,
It was a time of innocence, a time to play.

I looked at the stars, shinning down from above,
And wondered in awe at God’s unending love.
It was His creation, so sweet and serene,
It was a time of innocence, given by Him.

Time has gone, so swiftly by,
I look to my God, and I ask him why?
What happened to that innocence, that was supposed to last?
Why has it become a thing of the past?

The innocence of this world, is gone today,
Every one does things, their own way.
Come Lord Jesus, free the world from it’s sin,
Restore the time of innocence again.

“Unless you have the faith of a little child, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”

COME LORD JESUS

How much longer can this world go on,
Defiling God’s only begotten son.
For all of our transgressions he hung on a tree,
So all who believe would come to be free.
Come Lord Jesus take us away,
Put an end to this worlds sinful ways.
Before we lose even our children to him,
The very originator of sin.
Take satan and forever chain him in hell,
Take the lame and the sick and make them well.
All of your people fall to there knees and pray,
Come Lord Jesus, come today.

Never again

I will never again be loved,
As I once was blessed to be,
I will never be held within ones arms,
Oh so tenderly.
Never to hear those special words,
Whispered within my ear,
Never to share those special dreams,
With one I hold so dear.
Oh how I have missed her,
More with each passing day,
I long so much to join her,
For this I daily pray.
Never to be understood,
With the love she gave to me,
Never again to know acceptance,
Unconditionally.
Never again to know,
Fulfillment in her loving arms,
Never again to kiss her lips,
And steal away her charms.
Sometimes it’s hard to carry on,
Since God has called her home,
Life becomes such an effort,
And I feel so all alone.
I try to find a purpose,
As I hold out to God my hand,
Heal me Lord and let me know,
How I fit into your plan.

Thank you

How Long

I stand on the river bank,
Looking at the other side.
How much longer O Lord, before I can cross,
And forever with you abide?
How long before all eyes will be dry,
The tears no more to fall?
How long before the trumpet sounds,
And we hear the Savior call?
How long before a wicked world,
Is punished for it’s ways?
How long before we greet our Lord?
Is it minutes, hours, or days?
So I stand on the river bank,
And wait to go across.
My heart is very heavy,
For the souls that will be lost.
But it won’t be very long now,
Till all sorrows washed away.
For my Lord he is very real,
And he’s coming any day.

AN IMAGINARY DATE

Last night as we danced, to an imaginary band,
You reached out in your mind and held my hand.
We strolled in the garden and looked at the first star,
Every thing seemed, so close but so far.

A candlelight meal in the evenings dim light,
It truly was a beautiful night.
Thank you my dear for sharing my dream,
And I think of last night and how real it all seemed.

OH HOW I HAVE LOVED YOU

Oh how I have loved you,
From the very depths of my soul.
I have enjoyed your ever presence,
And it was you who made me whole.
Our life together has been a treasure,
Something that lives forever in my heart.
You were always there when I needed you,
And of my life you are the most important part.
You are my friend and confident,
In you I have placed my trust.
Our love will transcend the ages,
Long after our bodies have turned to dust.
You have washed my clothes and cooked my meals,
Always showing your love for me,
We expressed our love every day,
It was truly meant to be.
The time has come my love,
For you to sit and rest.
It’s my turn to take care of you,
And I will strive to do my best.
Know my love is with you always,
Till that special day will be,
When we walk the streets of Glory,
And our Saviors face we’ll see.

You are quite welcome and I am glad you enjoy them.

PRAISE

The praises that dwell within my soul,
Form at my lips,
As from my tongue they do flow.
My heart is on fire for thee oh my Lord,
I’ve taken up my cross,
And cast down my sword.
As I dwell upon this sin filled earth,
Use me to help others,
Find their second birth.
Let the Spirit dwell in me,
Never to cease.
Use me, mold me, give me your peace.
I praise you my Jesus, till time is no more,
Till you come in your glory,
And up to meet you I’ll soar.
As I live in this world,
I’ll serve you my best,
Knowing I will praise you,
Far better after death.

The Wickedness That Abounds!

As it was in Noah's day, so shall
it be at Christ' coming.
Just look at our nation!
And how wicked it's becoming!

Many families are falling apart...
and here's the reason why...
Many have exchanged God's truth
for a corruptible lie.

Professing to be wise, we have become fools.
By exchanging God's word for
our own “set of rules.”

Doing “whatever feels right” according
to one’s interpretation.
Sinful “pleasures” have brought
God's wrath on our nation.

Promoting sexual sins
and perversions of every kind…
We have violated the conscience
God placed in our mind.

Becoming very arrogant, boastful
and filled with pride.
This “mountain of garbage” has washed
ashore with an ungodly tide.

Our only hope in this stink and filth
we find ourselves in.
Is coming to Jesus Christ...and repent of every sin!

Heaven or hell? Which place would you rather be?
Living in bondage, or to have your
chains removed and be set free!

Jesus is our only hope in the midst
of uncertainty and fear.
Remember his coming draws ever so close!
It's almost here!

Loving Jesus the Old Fashioned Way!

There’s something on my mind that I know is o.k.
It’s about loving Jesus the old fashioned way.

I know this probably sounds silly to most of you.
But has the love of Jesus really got a hold of you?

I remember as a child loving Jesus with a passion.
My heart was filled with his love and compassion.

But as I got older, and thinking I was “wiser.”
I suppose that I let down my “spiritual visor.”

I began to let all sorts of things kind of “creep in.”
And before I knew it, I was bound up by sin.

There were many new ideas that swirled in my head.
I began to worry about what other people said.

In my attempts to “appease,” my life changed.
The person what once loved Jesus wasn’t the same.

As the “new” way of living crumbled around me…
It was Jesus’ love and grace that found me!

He called me to return to the first love I once knew.
I could hear him calling… He said; “I LOVE YOU!”

If serving and loving him is old fashioned… I want it!
The more I see his message in God’s word… I love it!

I’m going back to the Jesus I knew way back when.
I’m going to fall in love with him “all over again.”

I’m thankful and blessed that he’s patient and kind!
And blessed to know that he’s now a friend of mine!

He’s brought an abundant life to my heart today!
I still love him in the same
OLD FASHIONED WAY!

THE ANGELS ARE WEEPING

Outside it is dark and dreary, and the rain is softly falling.
It is like all of the angels In heaven are weeping,
For those who will not heed our Lord’s calling.

Brothers and sisters are fighting, dividing the body of Christ.
Will you be able to look the Lord in the eye and say,
I didn’t cause my brother to stumble, or will you have to pay the price?

What if some of the things you have said, cause someone to turn away?
Are you ready to take that chance?
And in pride continue to proclaim, it has to be just your way?

Are you the only one the Spirit speaks through?
Or is it when push really comes to shove,
Honestly all about you?

So examine yourself in silence putting yourself before the Lord.
Maybe the angels can cease their weeping,
As we concentrate on the word.

God Designed Marriage As One Woman and One Man…

There’s a design of God since the beginning of time.
He used this in his creation to begin mankind.

In the beginning, there was one God and one voice.
He created Adam and Eve as his divine choice.

He created opposite sexes for a purpose and a reason.
He encouraged them to multiply throughout the seasons.

There is a truth in Genesis that was made quite clear.
His purpose for one woman and one man was sincere.

Marriage is something that’s been
kicked around and abused.
God gave us his word to read, obey and use!

No courts or legislatures can wipe away
God’s true meaning.
It’s the truth of his word,
that we should all be receiving!

If this causes you confusion…
You needn’t be confused any longer.
There is a Godly purpose for marriage,
that can make you stronger!

It’s God’s word, not what man says, that we need to obey!
Don’t look to the constitution! Listen to what God has to say!

May the word of God remove the confusion
sweeping this land.
His design for marriage will always be…
One woman and one man!

LABOR PROBLEMS

The day was almost here at last,
And he waited with anticipation.
He’d been good throughout the year,
And they better show appreciation.

He figured he’d been under paid,
And go on strike if need.
He’d show them he wasn’t afraid,
To go elsewhere and look for work’
If they didn’t take his heed.

There must be someplace in this land,
Where he could earn his pay.
For he was about to become a man.
Almost any day.

After all he knew,
His parents would survive.
Cause the day was fast approaching,
When he’d becoming five.

This 4th Of July

To my fellow Americans,
during this 4th of July.
I have a thought.. . Here's why…

When we salute our flag
ever so grand.
Our country's foundation
is sinking in "quicksand."

This is because. From God...
We're way "off course."
Driven by lust, greed
and an "immorality force ."

Our ungodly government
continues to rule.
Anything of God has been
removed from the school.

We hear of "separation of
church and state."
Anything of God...
Many people seem to hate!

America! Listen to what
this message is about!
Everything of God is
slowly being taken out!

We must return to Jesus!...
He gives true freedom indeed!.
The truth word of God’s .
Our country must read!

Living for God is worth the cost!
Without HIM...
America is forever lost!

Just Look At God’s Beauty!

Just look at this earth and how it was made!
Think about it and the awesome beauty displayed!

Just look into the mirror… And you will find…
A beautiful person by God’s own design!

Just look up into the stars and heavens above.
God created it all and made it with love!

Just look into the beautiful crystal sea.
God made this all possible for you and me!

Just look at how everything “fit’s into place.”
We’re all here because of God’s mercy and grace!

Just think about the work Christ
accomplished on the cross.
He died for you and me... No matter the cost!

Just think about this savior who patiently waits.
It’s only through him, you can enter heaven’s gates!

Just think about what God has done and so much more!
He is knocking! At your heart’s door!

Just think about the life he offers is pure and everlasting!
His awesomeness and glory is beyond our understanding!

Just think about this for a moment... This very question...
Won’t you accept him now? He gives an invitation!

Just think about this choice. A life changing decision!
Jesus will give you a new life and a Godly vision!

Jesus paid it all! Your soul has been blood bought!
Won’t you come to him now? He loves you A LOT!

When A Simple “God Bless You,” Isn’t Enough…

I’m here to tell you that when
“the going get’s rough…”
A simple, “God bless you!”
May not be enough!

Just when you think things in life
are getting you down…
And perhaps there’s “not a friend
anywhere to be found…”

Perhaps… Right now…
You find yourself right there!
Let me encourage you to try some prayer!

Jesus is as close as the mention
of his name!
With him in control…
Things will never be the same!

He’ll speak peace to the raging
waters of life’s ocean…
And will give to you… His 100% “love potion!”

He’ll bring peace and healing
to your heart and home.
He’s always there with you.
You’re NEVER alone!

The chains of discouragement
will simply disappear…
His perfect love will cast out all fear!

He’ll pick up the pieces
of life that are broken...
As you allow his words of love
and hope to be spoken.

He’ll do for you what no
power or god can do…
He’s here right now!
And is waiting for YOU!

Jesus Makes A Way to Escape Every Temptation!

Many think “I can handle any kind of situation.”
And can find themselves in an “alluring” temptation.

Temptations come in many forms and kinds.
And have a way of distorting truth to the mind.

We hear of things that bring embarrassment.
It can often lead to some kind of entrapment.

This could be immoral sex or drugs. Just name it.
We can often choose how we will blame it.

If you feel that a temptation has “entrapped you.”
Won’t you let Jesus to put his arms around you?

He alone has the power to save and rescue you!
He’s here right now! And really wants to help you!

He provides a way to escape any kind of temptation!
Behold! His power of mercy, grace and salvation!

He’s the king of kings! And is what true life is about!
Allow his love to totally cleanse you throughout!

Hallelujah! Jesus brings victory and freedom indeed!
He alone has the power to meet your every need!

If there’s a temptation that got
your life “off track…”
Come to Jesus! He always “has your back!”

Won’t you allow him to come and touch you today?
In the midst of impossibilities, he’ll make a way!

Do We Appreciate the Family God Gave Us?

I remember growing up in a Christian family.
We were content, joyful and happy.

Things were "going along rather well."
We loved each other! More than words could tell.

There was a special love
between mom and dad.
As my parents... I was proud and glad!

Over the years that went on by.
Something happened. I don't know why.

Our deep love became
replaced with "excuses."
Our relationships filled with
"harsh words and bruises."

This family... I once held close to my heart.
Began to "unravel and fall apart."

Our love for another became bitter and cold.
Even to the day we're "growing old."

It is rather evident and appearing.
The family as a unit is disappearing.

We must come together and
remove all bitterness.
And walk in God's love and his forgiveness!

We must appreciate one another--
in spite of our faults!
Standing together on Godly principles
brings good results!

It we insist on "going our separate ways."
We'll be sorry "one of these days!"

The family is what God has put together.
It needs to be rooted in love!
Today and forever!

God’s love needs to be the glue that binds us as one.
Blessing every mom, dad,
daughter and son!

CRY OF PAIN

I can still hear that cry of pain,
And it sends shivers down my spine.
It happened many years ago’
But it lingers fresh within my mind.
I stood beneath a cross,
Which was the crossroad of my life.
Upon this cross there hung a man,
The savior Jesus Christ.
I couldn’t actually see Him,
But I knew that he was their.
I could sense his very presence,
And feel his loving care.
It was then I heard this loving sound,
As he gently called my name.
I then realized the things I’d done,
Were causing Him all this pain.
I knew that he was paying the price,
For the things that I had done.
So I might have eternal life,
Upon this cross he hung.
And when I woke up
And thought of all the things I dreamed,
I remembered that cry of pain,
And how real it all seemed.
I feel God took me there,
As it helped turn my life around,
Because when I start to go astray,
I remember that painful, agonizing sound.

He’s brought to me peace

and a godly contentment!

He’s God! And can’t be ruled

by someone’s theology!

He can’t be explained by science or biology!

He’s given us his word for a godly inspiration!

Let’s not twist it, into our own “interpretation!”

He’s alive and powerful!

Let the whole earth proclaim!

The majestic wonder and glory,

there is in HIS name!

Jesus is alive today! He reigns in resurrection power!

You too can know him!

And be changed this very hour!

TheGod that I believe in,

can be your God too!

He’sdone his part! The rest is up to YOU!
