I was thinking about starting a new game thread for us to have fun with, but since it has been a while since there have been many posts....

Who would like to have more threads to play different games in together? what type of games do you like to play in the threads?

Thank you for responding

it was pouring most of the day. The police came and talked to our program manager, then less than 10 minutes later, we were told that we were to immediately leave and head home. The majority of the roads around the building were flooded and we had to drive through some of the lower flooding to get to higher ground. WAVY Channel 10 posted a video, they are down the street from our building, showing how deep it got outside of their building. Once out of the downtown Portsmouth area, close to the Elizabeth River, I did not see anymore flooding. At that point I visited a Halloween store and Big Lots before heading back to get some homework done.

Be careful! More rains, winds, and junkie weather expected

Years ago I lived near the Naval base off Hampton Blvd--nice little community. but the lower end butted up to nav sta property it flooded a lot. I was higher never bothered me---but the viaduct near 21 st @ ODU flooded easily.
i'm up 500 ft above sea level now---not a real problem. my creek is flooded right now as so are many around where I am, Roanoke river, Staunton river, Dan river all at flood stage, Haven't heard about Appomattox river it's North of me.
have a great (Safe) weekend.

from that point, the Elizabeth River was two blocks east, which the picture was taken looking SSE. it was either 6 or 7 days before it really started to back off the roadway

thanks, I hate flooded roadways, especially if I don't have a choice but to go through it. I am really glad that the hurricane stayed off shore. Felt sorry for Bermuda, they got hit hard. The media was talking today about the flooding that the hurricane gave South Carolina. South Carolina got hit hard, but it wasn't the hurricane that hit them, it never came to the coast. The hurricane did affect what the coast was getting but did not hit the coast

Lived just of 13 near Regent university for a few years in the mid 80's. The traffic & crime were to much so moved to Baltimore. BIG mistake. Saw 3 murders in 6 months. Life is good in the sticks.

Regent is just off I-64 in Va Beach. Before Regent opened the undergraduate programs, before they opened the graduate programs, before CBN was there, when He just had is horse farm there, we moved down the street from there a couple of months before I turned 4 years old

Been a while so I may be wrong. Not far from the river. I remember counting the bricks while sitting in tourist traffic on the way to work. That I don't miss! 7 mile round trip commute now.

Regent is within a short walk of a dump and lots of ditches, and a creek that now goes through a portion. Used to be on the opposite side of Centerville Turnpike from I-64 but they rerouted Centerville years ago so that Regent is between Centerville and I-64. Indian River Road connects I-64 with Centerville. But there isn't a waterway around Regent you can put a small boat in.

Tourist traffic and a lot of local traffic because the roads weren't made to handle even 1/4 of the traffic that goes through there in the mornings or afternoons. Then they go and use that as the primary access to get to an amphitheater and sports complex down by the VB courthouse and municipal complex, which has made things worse
