Hell no
Black people got it extra hard
I saw it on the news
And I know for a fact
A nude bra
Is not dark enough

It's a real shame

I've even heard they can't find

Make up they like.....

And to make things worse

I've heard they think

There is white privilege

That keeps them down

It's okay to live poor
Sell your wife
Not know your father
Do or sell drugs
Never achieve anything without death or jail time for accomplishing material normal items
If that's a privilege so be it

It is privilege. The police would coose a black guy that scored an 80 compared to a white guy that scored a 95. Minorities come first in the work force.

I guess when you consider that two major sports programs (basketball and football) in colleges and universities throughout the US consist primarily of black, male athletes...and all that go along with access to those sports...it is difficult to buy into the poor disadvantaged black narrative...

Unfortunately, a large percentage of those athletes that go on to sign those exorbitant contracts with teams in the NBA and NFL wind up dead broke!

Maybe the problem ain't YT after all...

Forget shooting up for the stars. When you can easily find a career that brings in good money minus the illegal stuff. Thus being able to keep proper structure of everything around you

I wasn't born to privilege, but I had a rich aunt and uncle. Let me tell you my story in a song.

Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the princess of a town called Bel Air

In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And playin jump rope outside of the school
When a couple of girls who were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air'

I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my suit case and sent me on my way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket.
I put my Walkman on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

First class, yo this is bad
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of Bel-Air living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait I hear they're prissy, bourgeois, all that
Is this the type of place that they just send this cool cat?
I don't think so
I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the princess of Bel-Air

Well, the plane landed and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out
I ain't trying to get arrested yet
I just got here
I sprang with the quickness like lightning, disappeared

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought 'Nah, forget it' - 'Yo, holmes to Bel Air'

I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo holmes smell ya later'
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Princess of Bel Air

That's a huge accusation. Do you have anything to back up your source? Because there are folks in Greenwood (North Tulsa, Ok) who were alive back when the Tulsa Race Riots existed to tell otherwise. There is also documents indicating it's existence.

Do your homework before you spout your mouth.

Can you for Christ Sake stop mistaking white privilege with it meaning all white people are rich or something? No one ever said that.

It simply means that you are at a statistical advantage over someone who is not white. For example, you will not be followed around the store as often as a black person would.

Sure in some ways it exists; in a complex society all kinds of "privilege" exist. Certainly wealthy blacks have a sort of "privilege".

One indicator is social economic mobility and stability. Recent studies from the UW show more economic instability from what were thought of as more insulated positions.
