Jesus Christ is one third of the deity you speak of. Christ is the maker of heaven and earth. He also is the creator of man, in HIS fathers image. Communion solidifies the relationship of our mortal existence to our heavenly fathers eternal life. Communion will be unnecessary when Jesus returns. Pope Francis Terrifies Republicans By Wanting To Address US Congress

Pope Francis has recently let it be known that he would like to address a joint session of the United States Congress when he visits the U.S. later this year.
Christian pretenders in the Republican Party will be praying it doesn’t happen.
The Pope has already announced that he will be issuing a papal Encyclical on the environment and climate change in June or July. While the wording of the encyclical is still secret, he is expected to repeat his earlier statements that global warming was “mostly” man-made. And he has said he wanted his encyclical out in plenty of time to be absorbed before the next round of U.N. climate change talks in Paris in November after the last round in Lima, Peru, failed to reach an agreement.
“I don’t know if (human activity) is the only cause, but mostly, in great part, it is man who has slapped nature in the face,” Francis said. “We have in a sense taken over nature.
Needless to say, Republican climate change deniers are not looking forward to this Pope’s pronouncement, one that amounts to environmental marching orders for the world’s 1.5 billion Catholic Christians.
In addition to preaching the message of his encyclical, here is a short collection of recent statements by Pope Francis – some on the environment, others on the poor and disenfranchised – that could conceivably wind up in any Address to a joint session of the U.S. Congress, and have Republican legislators squirming in their oak-and-leather chairs:
On caring for Creation:
“Creation is not a property, which we can rule over at will; or, even less, is the property of only a few: Creation is a gift, it is a wonderful gift that God has given us, so that we care for it and we use it for the benefit of all, always with great respect and gratitude…while God always forgives, Creation never forgives and if we destroy Creation, in the end it will destroy us!”
…on greed and exploitation:
“I wish to mention another threat to peace, which arises from the greedy exploitation of environmental resources. Even if ‘nature is at our disposition’, all too often we do not ‘respect it or consider it a gracious gift which we must care for and set at the service of our brothers and sisters, including future generations’. Here too what is crucial is responsibility on the part of all in pursuing, in a spirit of fraternity, policies respectful of this earth which is our common home. I recall a popular saying: ‘God always forgives, we sometimes forgive, but when nature – creation – is mistreated, she never forgives!’. We have also witnessed the devastating effects of several recent natural disasters.”
…on seeing all as our brothers and sisters:
“I would like to make an appeal to those in possession of greater resources, to public authorities and to all people of good will who are working for social justice: never tire of working for a more just world, marked by greater solidarity! No one can remain insensitive to the inequalities that persist in the world! The culture of selfishness and individualism that often prevails in our society is not, I repeat, not what builds up and leads to a more habitable world: rather, it is the culture of solidarity that does so; the culture of solidarity means seeing others not as rivals or statistics, but brothers and sisters. And we are all brothers and sisters!”
…and in speaking of his choice of Francis for his papal name, he said this:
“Francis of Assisi. For me, he is the man of poverty, the man of peace, the man who loves and protects creation; these days we do not have a very good relationship with creation, do we? He is the man who gives us this spirit of peace, the poor man … How I would like a Church which is poor and for the poor!”
How we might like a Congress which is of the poor and for the poor! Blessed are the poor…and blessed is this ground-breaking new Pope. May his God grant him the pulpit before the Republican-led Congress of the United States of America. Amen.
