Wilderness Joy

I stand in the wilderness
I look all around to see
The beauty of nature
The plants, animals and every tree

Peace and happiness all around
It invigorates me happiness and joy
I explore the wilderness with adventure
Just as I did when I was a boy

A deer passes by me
But, does not run away
It knows it is safe with me
And it starts to come my way

I reach out to touch it
It then smells my hand
It lets me pet it
Because it knows now who I am.






I see all around the beauty and life
This is the place for me
My peace and my place of happiness
The place on Earth where I am free.
