I looked through pages of threads and maybe I'm missing something but I don't see anything on this day-911! There seems to be one for every holiday but I can't believe this day has apparently forgotten. Please somebody tell me I'm wrong!
In my opinion, this day has to become a national holiday sometime! How can it not be?!

Thank you, We have not forgotten all the people who lost their lives.
Sorpstar did mention in my thread and I posted a picture of the only firefighter in his squad that survived. He came to my area to speak.

Quote from just_zoe1958:

The lone firefighter of his squadron(?) that survived 9/11.
I don't remember his name now but he came to Burlington.
He said he was tired of people knocking down our great nation.
Anyone who doesn't like it here or complains, can leave.
Actually it was more like if you don't like it here
you can get the hell out and I'll even pay for your one

Thanks, Just Zoe. I have not seen any titles with today's title, though. Maybe on a page beyond 6.

I also did not forget what happened to our country 14 years ago today. It will always be on my mind, just like the day JFK died.

I have not been posting on DH as I use to. As they say life gets in the way.

Hi Trish, I remember JFK, too. I was young and didn't grasp it too well. I do remember him holding a Rosary in his hands.

I remember 9/11 as if it happened yesterday.
I took vacation time, went to NYC and volunteered my services as a RN to those in need.

GOD BLESS THEM ALL!....
