I live an isolated life and it gets lonely so I have tried using apps like this one to reach out... it always comes down to certain questions that hurt and then they disappear... why don't you work? Why did you have a service dog? Why do you take a ton of meds? Etc etc

I wish I had an answer. I have not had friends to visit real time since 2009. Has been rough.

Yup it sucks, but internet dating brings as much bad as it does good.
The good is that it is easier to meet people. The bad is that this encourages everyone to set unrealistic standards of perfection that no one can ever fulfill.
The only people who will talk to me are hookers and scammers. There is no one legit left in the world. Half the people here are really my alt accounts to keep me company.

individuals are so judgmental, I never understood it . Like hello, how are you? My Name is... Just a simple spark of conversation can change a persons life. People are too up tight I feel, they have their on perceptions of what a friend they want and if one is not to their liking they are immediately eliminated. This is what I have observed anyway...

Sometimes you think you have friends until you start having some issues and you quickly realize that these people really aren't your true friends. I've actually met people online who have been quite supportive and did meet a man who has stuck by me. It's nice to see that some people are caring. They are out there and you will find them.

I have been disabled since 2004 and not even one of my friends have visited me not even called. I came on this site thinking of finding someone.But right now I am to the point in my life that all I want is friends. I have found some good friends to write to on this site. I will admit if I didn't have the internet I would go really crazy. I do live with my mother so I do have someone to talk to. But I have to live with someone because of my issue with the nerve damage that I have. I have come to the point that trying to find someone is not what I want anymore. I have found some really nice people to write to.

Well I'll say this people done look at others from the inside and what they can give as a friend where if you don't have perfect looks they think your geeky or weird people and myself I'm no hot cookie in the box I am just a joker in the cardboard box black and all the cards that go with it but still I don't care what people think of me I just like me because I am me and if they don't like me they can just move on

In truth, because friendship is like a relationship in almost every respect. Its a matter of developing a bond, trust, understanding, compassion, acceptance and forgiveness. To me, it's finding people with common interests and allowing them to enrich your life rather than detract from it and being understanding when they fall short of what we hope for and expect but accepting that nobody is perfect.

Most people just don't like reptiles or anti whites. You're the true minority. Even if I am a minority too still, most people wont identify with that set of beliefs. I thought you'd be ok too but after reading what you wrote at the bottom of your long rambling there I was like yea, this is why.

It's hard to meet new friends if you are disabled because with most people if you don't have a job that's right one once they find out you are disabled it's like strike 3 you're out

Some people expect others to make them laugh or keep them intertained before they accept them as a friend. Some people are not willing or able to accept others as they are even though they expect others to accept them. I like most things except mosquitos and evil people. However, I realize I am limiting my own happiness by allowing negative thoughts to be present.
If you only want friends, spend time at nursing homes. Many of the residents can not afford or can not physically use the internet. However, lots of people do not want to make friends with the residents either. The reasons are many - not to say they are politically correct.
