It doesn't sound very plausible, because anyone reading the Bible, before ever they got to the Jesusy stuff, would be appalled by those chapters where Yahweh commands the Israelites to clear out the Promised Land by killing all the Canaanites, including men, women and children.

When we view the Joshuah's conquests, which had been commanded by God, we have to look at it this way. God wanted to preserve a special people for Himself, and to do that, He had to protect them. It was back in those days, kill, or be killed. There were few extended periods of peace, such as Solomon's.

The history of the world is filled with bloodshed. Would you say that the soldiers that were Christian, and fought, and killed Japanese and German aggressors, were wrong?

In other words ..... this story was the result of hearsay ..... not from a direct source ..... from a staff member ..... who heard from a soldier ..... who heard from villagers in the town!

Boy ..... that is pretty strong evidence isn't it ..... try using this type of evidence in a court of law.

The report received about this man, Amin, was that he was convicted/ converted by reading a Bible.

Amin found something far more precious that that life he had led as a terrorist. He found pardon, and eternal life.

You can't verify documentation with something like Amin being killed, because it happened in a war torn area. Publishing names, pictures, etc., puts other people at risk, and is a security breach.

That's as good of an argument as you can present? Amin was not in a court of law, but a war zone. And you know that. And because of Christians who post in this Forum, you know a lot of other things, too, about salvation, and how to find it. As the old saying goes, "You can lead a horse to water....."

Religious loons bet their lives on the accuracy of myths. It's tragic that so many in the world are ignorant and superstitious. They actually believe a f**king burning shrub spoke to some man named Moses. They believe Moses parted a sea, Jesus levitated to a cloud and the world was flooded, and animals around the world were on a single boat. F**king hilarious.

So to question any religious loon about their beliefs in things that have that no credibility is in itself incredible. Christians have a poor grasp on reality. If they did, they wouldn't be religious.

Why not just schedule one session with a qualified licensed mental health professional and focus on what you just posted?

I personally know two licensed psychologists that are on staff here. Not on a client basis, but as friends. Neither of them have ever, even in the slightest way, suggested I needed therapy of any kind.
