I'm going to take a wild guess and say almost nothing is being maintained on this site anymore, and they are just waiting for it to piddle down to nothing so they can pull the plug.

There are no longer "powers that be."
I believe the abandoning of the site has to do with the greatly shrinking profits of IAC. The disappearing act of customer service, forum moderation, or any sort of administration began in 2014 when IAC profits and earnings began to shrink. The downward trend of profits and net income continued through the first three fiscal quarters of 2015. Overall, it hasn't hurt IAC very much. However, low performing parts of the company like Datehookup will not be subsidized by more the more profitable areas of the company.

There's no way this site is a cash cow, but it's not a total loss either.
It says 12,996 singles online right now! When I first signed on a few years ago, the sign in page was saying around 50,000 regularly.
It does seem like an abandoned ship for some time. But when there was moderation, topics and profiles were being deleted on a daily bases. I really didn't enjoy that.
I wish they'd reformat the mobile view of the forums. They've been all stretched out for about a year.
They need to remove the personal pictures of the deleted profiles.
I wish this site would have someone put in a little bit of site maintenance! Just once a week or once a month. Something!

No. I assume it's people with the app still on their phone, or that log in periodically to actually find a date/hookup.
Then we need to consider all the bot profiles... Who knows how many they are?
Looking up web traffic, 2/3rd of the traffic seems to be from outside of the United States. That's kinda sad.
