It certainly is a deciding factor.
I've decided to no longer date women under 6'4 - just my preference, of course.

A womans heigth is not an issue to me
but a womans weight is, call me shallow,
but it is no different than a woman having
preferences for a taller man than me...JMO

Well, this is a question that hits home: I stand 5'7" and have been dismissed as "too short" by women who stand anywhere from 4'11" to 6'1". I've had the most success with women around 5'4" to 5'8" (my ex was 5'8" when we married, but because she had scoliosis and did little about it 5'4" when we divorced 14-1/2 years later).
The taller ones (say more than an inch taller than me), I can understand. It is awkward. It is jokingly said that once you're "horizontal", height doesn't matter. I've found that's where it matter the most: the more emotionally intimate positions involve contact "eye to eye, toe to toe, and all the good bits in between". Doesn't work if there is a great disparity in height.
So, yes, I tend to dismiss women 5'9" and taller practically out of hand. Statistically it's been my experience that they would not be interested at all. So, why bother? On the other hand, if a somewhat taller lady showed interest in me, and was sincere that the height difference didn't bother her, it wouldn't bother me either (I do think I'd set the limit at 5'10", though).
Some people have suggested that I pair best with someone 5'0" to 5'3". LOL I've found such women, statistically, even more desirous of a man over 6'0". Doesn't stop me from trying, though.
Personally, I never really did like the whole "stretch to kiss" business, so if I had to pin down a narrow height range, it would center around someone my height. But, that certainly isn't a hard and fast rule.

Taller would be nice, but I am not picky as long as they are nice and respectful. It is all what is in the heart.

I don't really care about height. I mean it might be odd if they were 2 feet shorter or 2 feet taller but... As long as you get along well and have good chemistry, you won't care about that too much. As for those who do care about it and won't even get near someone......... I dunno.

I'm 5'5 1/2". I don't care if a man is not tall but I do prefer a man taller than myself. I have a male friend who is a dear in everyway. However, he is shorter and dimunitive in stature. I just don't feel any attraction. He always tells me he's 5'7" and I don't want to burst his bubble but the only way he's 5'7" is if he were wearing a pair of stilletos!
I also prefer slender, athletic, hwp, good teeth and a full head of hair. Thankfully there are plenty of women who find stocky, bald or shaved heads attractive and are not bothered by bad teeth(which are easy to correct). There are many men that prefer more voluptuous, curvy brunettes and would not find me appealing.
Again,we should be respectful to everyone but we all have PREFERENCES in a ROMANTIC partner.

Lisa Leslie might make me a little uncomfortable, but height wouldn't be a problem. There is a place where we would be the same.

Some men are intimidated by tall women. *shrug* I personally prefer shorter (petite) women, around 5'3", but that's merely because I have a very tall Jeep, and it is horribly entertaining for me to watch short women climb into it. Other than that, I could care less how tall a woman is. For me it's a preference not a requirement.
