I say USC & Whoever comes out of the big 12 between Texas Oklahoma & Missouri. The SEC is by far the best but with so many powerhouse teams they'll probably knock each other from contention. A shame We don't have a playoff.

One humorous scenario could suggest that Oklahoma gets relegated to the Fiesta Bowl for the third year in a row. The Fiesta Bowl committee offers OU a chance at redemption, allowing Stoops and his troops to think the "third time is a charm". No Statue of Liberty plays, no getting run over by a Mack Truck. Everything's going well for the Sooners. That is, until the OU coaching staff encounters weird dreams about alien spacecraft (oddly looking like bronchos and mountaineers) making a pit stop by the team's motel on the way to Roswell, New Mexico for an ET reunion with extraterrestrials and Drew Barrymore. Stoops gets up in the middle of the night, swearing his staff to secrecy about the game plan he has in mind for the Fiesta Bowl. His players buy into the game plan. They go out in force onto the football field, arm in arm in unity, proving that the third time is indeed a charm, instead of being noted in the Trivial Pursuit, 2015 sports edition, "Who is the only college football team to lose three Fiesta Bowl games in a row?"

OU is down by two and marching down the field. Led by Sam Bradford, OU is the red zone in the last minute of the game, with thoughts of the completing the second coming of Eli Manning's winning drive vs. the Patriots dancing in OU's heads. Once again, thoughts of alien exterrestrial aircraft come through the OU coaching staff's heads. They look up, and the closing scenes of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" begin playing. The OU coaching staff all become dizzy, disorganized, disoriented, and Bradford isn't sure what to do. OU's staff gets taken up into the spacecraft for future evaluation. Fortunately through all of this, OU still has time for a game-winning field goal. The ball is hiked, put down, and kicked into the air. However, as the football hits the bottom of the uprights, it skids around on the bottom then begins breakdancing to Michael Jackson's "Thriller". The OU fans go wild, thinking that redemption has arrived. However, "Thriller" stops playing, the ball never crosses the crossbar and goes back out of the end zone and ends up at the five yard line.

Upon return from the alien spaceship, Stoops gets fired (for his inability to win the big game during the winter holidays), and OU gets a five-year ban from the Fiesta Bowl committee from playing in the Fiesta Bowl. Stoops manages to overcome his alien nightmares, and goes on to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame for all the things he accomplished for the Sooners. The 2015 sports edition of Trivial Pursuit comes out on the shelves. One of the questions is, "Name the nationally known college football team that was beat in the Fiesta Bowl three consecutive years (Hint: They were affected by the Statue of Liberty in year one, a Mack Truck in year two, and alien spacecraft in year three). The "Boz", Brian Bosworth, comes back to OU wearing a new shirt, "NCAA...National Communists Against Aliens".

A few years later, the NCAA playoffs come to fruition for BCS schools. Ohio State is playing against OU in the first round of the BCS playoffs, due to both teams inability to win the big game during the winter holidays in the past couple of years. After 15 overtimes, the score is knotted at 13-13. All the players have no energy left in them. It's come down to Brutus and the Sooner Schooner playing for the right of that mascot's team to face the winner of the Michigan vs. Texas matchup in round two.

On a more realistic note, OU has as good a chance as Missouri, Wisconsin (who I feel will win the Big 10 this year), and several of the top SEC teams to get into the national championship game. Although USC is the best team in the Pac 10, it could still lose a conference game (especially if it ends up being UCLA of all teams at the end of USC's season) - which could cost USC an opportunity to play in the national championship game. USC vs. Ohio State *again*, this time in the Rose Bowl? Boring, *yawn*.

Hmmm .. wrong Texas.. you really meant Texas Tech, I'm sure Texas Tech vs. Florida would make for first team to 70 wins

Probably Florida and Oklahoma. I would rather it be USC and Florida probably. But the only way USC can get in is if either Alabama or Florida loses later today AND the other loses their title game AND texas or oklahoma gets another loss. OR they would need oklahoma and Texas to EACH get another loss.

I think if Oklahoma beats Ojlahoma State it's pretty obvious they are going back ahead of Texas. I like Texas more, honestly.

this year is another example why there should be a playoff.there are 6 maybe 7 solid championship teams.under the current bcs they can play their bowls on jan 1st......as they did before the bcs.4 games.2 games the next week and the championship game the next.thus extending the current 1 week....for 2 teams.and we would get a true champion the way it should be........not some poll.the main concern has been losing the prestige and tradition of the bowl games.well honestly thats gone.its ...'the game'....and everything else is an afterthought.i watch 2 games.whatever penn state is playing and the championship game.under a playoff system i would watch them all...to scope out the competition. the other complaint was the length of the season.well under this system 2 teams would play an extra week and 2 teams would play 2 extra weeks.i hardly see that as an inconvenience.and talk about ratings

ok. ...so here goes .......under my system after psu beat usc, florida and oklahoma.....or usc, oklahoma then florida.

I'm not sure who I am picking yet. Probably florida, but not sure. I actually made a sports betting system for my site and have a bowl pick contest on it. Not sure if I can mention the site though. I'm having a hard time getting it active anyway.

As far as a playoff system, apparently they do need to because it's kind of ridiculous how it ends up. USC, for example, lost very early in the season, destroyed people the rest of the season, and yet they still finished behind several teams who all had the same number of losses as they did.

I agree with everyone who thinks a playoff is needed. If oklahoma & Texas both win Texas will have a very valid claim to a share of the natonal title as someone stated before it's ridiculous several teams could cntend in a playoff system

Its a shame that it seems like every year someone kinda gets shafted.........with that being said........USC dont want any part of OU or Florida........and I'm tickled as shit that Utah is playin Alabama........that should be a good one LMAO!! And to sum it up you should'n even say USC in the same sentence as OU or Florida.........I like Bradford but I'll have to pick Florida for the win

southbuster, USC was dominating more than the other teams at one point (they went 100+-0 over several games at one point) and weren't playing as bad of a schedule as people act.

They're not my favorite team, but I like them and they could beat florida or oklahoma. Same as when people said the giants couldn't beat the patriots.

USC???? i feel soo bad for them....NOT!!!! who did they beat?they beat ohio state in the colliseum.ohio was without their star player for the game.lets feel sorry for them cause they lost to oregon state?the same team penn state ripped by 4 touchdowns and psu is ranked behind usc??? gimme a break!

as far as the sec being a powerhouse conference???again.....gimme a break.the only team in that conference that should be ranked high is florida.alabama had close wins over unranked teams.the only quality wins they had were over overhyped teams such as georgia!

the teams from the big 12 had the toughest schedule.period.although i still think it should have been texas-oklahoma for the big 12 crown.....seriously missouri didnt have a prayer.in all honesty texas tech isnt that good.personally i dont think ANY team that gives up 63 points in a game should even be ranked.last i checked defense was part of the game too.

Thats why Florida barely beat Alabama in the SEC championship game and the only team with a chance to slow Tebow down.........Oklahomas a good team but they lose to Florida by 2 touchdowns........Nick Saban is the best coach in College football and I'm sure they'll be right back in the thick of it next year right after they smack Utah in the mouth because they have no business on the field with Alabama

Of course my prediction would be Oklahoma.....go figure. However, I think it will be a good game. Yes, I'm a die-hard OU fan and I bleed crimson & cream. Yes, Tebow is a good player and Florida is a good team, but I feel the same about Sam Bradford and Oklahoma. So we will all be watching on Jan 8th and may be better team win.........Go SOONERS!

and all Utah has done is beat everyone they have played.......

it's time......for a playoff in Division 1......but the Florida's and the Oklahoma's and the USC's and the Texas's of this world are too scared of getting shown up on the field!!!!! (and OKlahoma should be cause they experienced the magic of Boise State just a couple years back)

I predict florida won by 10.

Man to me that game wasn't worth what it probably cost to go to it. I guess in a pure football sense, it was, but considering the two teams involved I would have rather seen more offense.

Although extremely impressive to hold Oklahoma to such a low score!
