Honestly giving birth really isn't as painful as people say, I think it all depends on the woman and how strong of a person that she is. I gave birth to an 8lb 9.3oz baby girl with no pain meds at all, didn't scream and it was my first time giving birth.

My son was worth every second during my of the 27 hours I was in labor. The last 12 hrs was a pain every 2 seconds.
I have only one son.
Why people keep having babies and complain about the pain, I am not sure.

Well, I am a guy, so you know I don't know. BUT...from a biological standpoint, isn't this the reason why we're alive? Once we've done this, we can die and it's ok because the purpose of our life has been fulfilled...except for the part about paying for college.

HMMM Let's see, 72 hrs of labor with the first, 48 hrs with the second and 24 hrs with the 3rd. 
Yes, it's very painful, and yes, after the first, on the delivery table I told my ex I would do it again. It hurts like the worst stomach flu you've ever had.
You don't forget the pain, but you have a part of you and (if you're lucky) a part of someone you love right there in front of you and it's worth it. You've carried this living person inside of you for 9 months and you finally get to meet them. They are a part of your soul, newly created.
It's difficult to put it into words, the emotional rush for me was almost as good as the best orgasm I've ever had. I know that sounds weird, but the intensity of giving birth is bone deep. Just amazing
I have never understood any woman being able to give them up or abuse them, it is just incomprehensible to me.

My first birth lasted over 40 hours in extreme horrific pain. I was only a teenager...I was very narrow at the hips...they had to give me a drug to widen my pelvis...I ended up in Intensive Care. I survived. Because I was young and could endure it. But....
You forget the pain...you forget.
And thank God for that.
