Most believe that original sin came upon mankind when,Eve ate of the forbidden fruit in the garden of eden. Then she tricked her husband Adam to eat of the fruit.Thus his eyes wear open and he knew of sin. This is what most So called Jews, Christians and Moslems claim to believe. Now I dont care what you non believers think , for this is a moral discussion for those that believe in something. We dont care what you heathens think.Your opinion dont matter to us. Were you saying that Jews DID believe in original sin? Now granted I cannot speak for all of Judaism, but I have not come across a SINGLE Jewish denomination that believes in original sin (Messianic Jews don't count). Because a sin is an action, I do not believe that a person can be born as a sinner. A person BECOMES a sinner through his or her actions. Everybody eventually ends up sinning because... face it... it is so easy to commit a sin. Almost everything fun is defined as a sin, lol. This is not to say that G-d does not judge, nor does it mean that we do not need to repent for the sins that we do commit. What it means is that you are essentially born this a clean slate, and every year you have the opportunity to wipe that slate clean again starting on Rosh Hashanah and continuing in Yom Kippur. "On Rosh Hashanah it is written, and on Yom Kippur it is sealed." Also, please do not make use of the word "heathen." It is an incredibly hateful word which implies a tremendous amount of ignorance.

seemonkey Big Pine, CA age: 45	I would hope you wouldn't argue against God's word. 1 Timothy 2:14 "And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety." I personally believe the entire word and struggle like everyone else. Some flee because of contradictions and deny it as a lie or myth. Others repeat one verse loudly while sweeping another under the rug. I have found a way to embrace all of it without any hypocrisy. It may be "wiley" and beguile the reader... but it all has to be true or none of it is. the same as breaking one law means you have broken all. understanding works was for those under the law. then came faith. God made man both male and female. Women represent a church. the great mystery... Jesus returns to His bride.. the church. if you understood the church Eve ate the fruit and Adam listened to the womans word as written in Genesis. the serpent is the rod in John and the rod is the word. it is all there... and can be put together given enough effort. While you should repent that is not going to get you anything from God. Romans 11:29 "For the gifts and calling of God [are] without repentance." so sin is not a big problem. no sinner will go to heaven. some will be taken (to heaven) and some will be left (on earth) [Edited 9/30/2008 2:36:22 PM]
