Well if your a Christian you believe it began with Adams disobedience to G-D'S directives. Which was then passed down to his decendents.

Others believe its losing your Spirituality.

Do I believe it? My Spiritual path is mine, yours is yours, so it doesnt much matter what I believe except to me.

PEACE

when you define sin...
1 John 3:4 "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

it becomes crystal clear.
the first sin or original if you like must have came after the law.

did you know there was no such thing in America as an illegal drug until after 1926.

were those who did drugs in 1920 guilty of a crime? NO.

seeing you need the law (commandments) to sin... it was Moses or someone after that.

I agree, the original sin was the disobidience of God, not to eat of the "Tree of Knowledge". Eve partaking of the fruit because of the temptation of Satan, puts the word of Satan greater than the word of God. Thus, "Have no other Gods before me".

you didn't agree you twist fact.

did Adam come after Moses?
1 Tim 2:14 "Adam was NOT deceived the woman being decived was in the transgression"

no matter how many times you repeat a lie, it doesn't change into a truth.

what happens to those that believe in a lie?

Not arguing, just clarifying my posistion:

Genesis 2

16And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

I do not believe in original sin. It makes no sense to me and never will. I could go into why, but it may be labeled as an "atheist comment" to your mind. *rolls eyes*

The inherent implication that I am somehow lacking in morals if I don't believe in original sin is... well, absolutely ironic and utterly hilarious to me, lol...

Just to clarify to the OP, morals do not come from religion.

Yes, I agree. Just because something is legal doesn't make it moral.

Religion is the little more than a narcissist’s Materialism. Truth can perish, and the world can come to ruin, but as long as the ego and the persona and the illusion of salvation at the hands of others remains constant, we believe.

It should never be forgotten that the power of the priest rests solely on the credence of the people. The people cry out for a savior, for certainty of heaven, for an exemption from the terrors of hell. Hence Priestcraft can neither do without hell nor purgatory. Take away both, or either, and its power is gone - M. F. Cusack (The Black Pope: A History of the Jesuits)

A religion which sedulously opposes its own improvement can do nothing essential toward improving anything else...On the contrary, it must check the growth of everything it touches with its palsied hands - Kersey Graves (The Bible of Bibles)

The only thing that is unique about the Christ is the lengths to which the Cult, working in his name, has gone to suppress the truth and to foist their unsustainable sectarian beliefs upon the world.

The Christian zeal for brutal oppression and its violent conversion of non-believers, its penchant for false promises, its expertise with deception and its ability to spawn the vilest of human-monsters are what make it unique in the world.

The Christian who imagines that being "one” with the Father implies the abnegation of Selfhood is little more than a masochist. He acts sadistically to himself. He commits a cardinal sin with just this kind of illogical thinking. How can a mere nothing, a human zero, merge with God?

After all, who is it that comprehends this state of oneness? Logically it is only a Self that can merge or bond with God's Self. Anything else is fantasy.

I believe that Man fell before he sinned. This 'fall' was enough to change the very nature of Man. Ever seen the Lost Books of the Bible and the Forgotten Books of Eden?

How can someone who has never even done anything but be born, be called a sinner? That is my question to you.

If you are talking about Original Sin, then you must talk about Adam. And Adam was never born. So the question becomes...

How can someone who has never been born, have sinned?
