Vermont people are a strange breed...my parents were born and raised here..damn..not my fault ..I was born from them..I was born in MA...lived in Indy..the big city..got out of this small town bs...so lived both worlds...people here live in a bubble...too many related to each other..I really hate that...loved in Indy..no one knew me...

@all,
I don't even know why people are wasting their time still posting in this old thread topic that was created 2 years ago,LOL. It Could it have been that there was not many towns that had internet access back then...(including around my area) I see plenty of other newer threads in this Vermont forum lately that are of the "chatting" nature so I don't understand why this thread hasn't been closed yet since this topic seems to have no useful possibilities anymore. With a topic title like this I normally wouldn't even bother to reply because the topic is too vague and outdated. That's my 2 cents.

That's a shame there isn't any single groups in your area. Sometimes religious organizations have singles night. You don't have to be religious to go, though I wouldn't go to the ones that push their religion. Volunteering is another way to meet other young people. They are out there. Good luck.

There are so many comments about Vermont. I got a laugh from reading some, but all-in-all I don't care what anyone says about the 802. I like it here; It's peaceful, quiet, and after living in Oregon for the past 2 years the weather is amazing! It was a great place to grow up as a child. I have SO many memories of the care-free fun I had with all my friends. And so I came back to Vermont to raise my 3 year old son.
