I just read all the chats. The problem seems to be that no one is on at the same time. Vermont is glorious. There is so much to see and do throughout the whole state. I am excited about the fall season about to enfold around us. The cooler weather, the clearing of the gardens, the canning, the berry picking, the corn on the cob. With all the festivals they have how come there isnt a corn on the cob festival. Its not just cow feed ya know.
And just so ya'll have something to read if you come back on, cause I may not, watch glenn beck at 5. It will keep you informed. CNN doesnt give you the news.

My parents are in their 80's!
Are you having any luck? I think the last guy I was chatting with was married or in a relationship. He avoided my questions a lot and seems to not want to meet in public places. Another one bites the dust!

well ever since that hurricane ran up the coast a week or so ago...
the weather has taken a turn...I work at a boat launch and when it's cold it's miserable on the joints

Since this is a vermont chat. Did anyone else get the prepare for emergencies booklet too? Are you smart enough to actually do it?
Because Bernie Sanders just sent me am email warning of a coming economic disaster. I will pass it on to anyone and everyone I can in case they don't know it. Start stocking up on everything you would need in an emergency. Food,Taxables like detergent,soaps,shampoos, don't forget bleach,paper plates and cups anti-biotic creams,bandaids,alcohol and peroxide, batteries, flashlights, candles, propane for grills if the power goes out, warm blankets and sleeping bags,water, and remember you need at least 3liters a day per person and some for cooking,cleaning,washing up. Make sure you have canned foods and one or two can openers in case one fails. I remember the stories of the 29 depression my grandmother told me and what I have seen on tv and read. This may be bad for a while. Churches are supposed to gear up to help people but people should help themselves while we can prepare.
