Not always 9 months of winter, but it can snow early and snow late in the season, at least here in Laramie. Up in Gillete it should be alittle nicer....good luck.

Here in Gillette, everybody is cleaning up their yards -
our snow did some massive tree damage. I have a pile
of limbs and branches from my big tree - but it's
supposed to warm up mid week. Way too early to
begin winter.

We didn't get but a flurry of snow here in Cheyenne. I love Wyoming, I was raised here. I like it alot better than Nebraska. Good Luck

Yes sis I agree - I was born/raised in Nebraska but have lived in Wyoming longer than I lived in Nebraska and have really enjoyed Wyoming.

hey there! I was raised in NM, thought I'd never want to leave the land of enchantment, but Wyoming got a hold of me and almost 25 years later I'm still here and I love it. Weather wise, it's been alot like northern NM...Raton, Taos, Red River....the culture is definately different, there is just no place like NM in the way of its amazing culture, but Wyoming's natural beauty and far reaching expanses more than make up for the differences in culture. If Wyoming is calling you, then I would listen! Peace~
